Bryce Miller To Make MLB Debut Tuesday
2 years agoThe Seattle Mariners are calling up right-hander Bryce Miller from Double-A Arkansas to make his major-league debut in a start against the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday, according to multiple sources. Miller was the team's fourth-round pick in 2021 and will be the fifth player from that draft class to debut so far in 2023. Miller hasn't exactly been great in the minors this year, posting a 6.41 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, three walks and 18 strikeouts in 19 2/3 innings over his four starts for Arkansas, and there's a chance that the 24-year-old could be sent right back down to the minors after his first MLB start on Tuesday, especially if he struggles. At best, the M's No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, will be a speculative waiver-wire addition in deep-mixed and AL-only leagues.
