Although A.J. Allmendinger has had a rather underrated season, he's not a particularly good DFS option at Loudon since he is starting 12th (better than he usually does here) and has never finished better than tenth nor has he ever led a lap, which means he is almost guaranteed to lose positions and score negative Place Differential points. Despite his poor record, the track shares similarities with Martinsville which is one of Allmendinger's best ovals and he has been surprisingly fast this weekend, ranking second in practice with the best five-lap average and sixth best overall average, so the question is whether his anomalous speed this weekend will outweigh his poor finishes in the past. If you think his speed will carry over into the race, he might be worth considering.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
