3 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers waived wide receiver Jalen Hurd (knee) on Thursday with an injury designation and signed offensive lineman Corbin Kaufusi and cornerback Saivion Smith to the practice squad in corresponding moves. Hurd was put on Injured Reserve on Sept. 11. The 25-year-old former third-round pick never made it on the field for the Niners in a regular season game due to various injuries along the way. Hurd suffered a setback after having surgery for a torn ACL in the preseason and wasn't available for the start of the 2021 season. The 49ers weren't expecting Hurd to contribute at all this year, so he'll hope to get healthy before attempting to latch on with another organization.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
