LPL/LCK DFS Picks (6/23/21) - DraftKings and FanDuel League of Legends Daily Fantasy

Nolan's expert League of Legends (LoL) DFS advice and DraftKings/FanDuel lineup picks for LPL & LCK on 6/23/21. His top LoL value plays and esports DFS recommendations.

Welcome back summoners, to another LOL breakdown article featuring Four matchups tomorrow from the LPL and LCK. Let's see where we can find angles to attack the next slate.

Roster changes will be addressed if need be when mentioning each team.  As a friendly reminder, if you can't stomach any sub risk or don't enjoy waking up early, then figure a way to roster players that don't hold any sub risk. As of writing this breakdown, Loken was announced out and Lpc will be starting in his place

I'll provide my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LPL & LCK slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 4:00 AM on Wednesday, June 23th, 2021. If you have any questions about the slate or anything please reach out to me on Twitter @nolanroth10. I'll do my best to provide some useful analysis. The odds listed are from Bovada. Let's jump right into the matchups!

LCK Matches

HLE (-135) vs. AF

DWG (-1200) vs. FB

LPL Matches

V5 vs. JDG (-3300)

WE vs. FPX (-170)

CAPTAIN/STAR

Lpc - JDG: LPC was just announced as the starting ADC for JDG for this matchup. While he is still the most expensive player on Draftkings, He is the cheapest ADC on the slate over on Fanduel. While JDG likely takes a bit of a hit playing with the backup ADC, this should still be an easy 2-0 sweep and the FD price is too good to pass up on.

Doinb - FPX: This series should be the bloodiest of the four on this slate so why not go with the team kill leader in Doinb. He currently has a 32.1 Kill Share percentage and also leads his team in Kill percentage at 69.2%. He is the third most expensive mid laner on both sites.

TOP

Nuguri - FPX: For some reason, Nuguri is the cheapest top laner on Fanduel. He will be quite chalky but the value is too good to pass up on. Through 10 games Nuguri has an 80% counter pick rate which he has translated into 44 kills and 46 assists. This series features the highest O/U on kills and getting and Nuguri will be very involved.

Khan - DWG: Khan is more expensive than Nuguri on both sites, but he should come at much lower ownership. Khan has a 72.5 % kill participation so while this matchup likely has fewer kills, Khan is usually involved when they happen. His counterpart in Hoya is averaging a poor -384 Gold Difference (GD10) at 10 minutes and a -17.8 CS difference which should result in a pretty easy lane for Khan in this series.

JUNGLE

Kanavi- JDG: Kanavi has 42 kills and 88 assists in just 11 games. He is rocking a team-high 76.9 % kill participation and is second on the team in kill share. Kanavi will be relied upon even more this series with a backup ADC starting in the bot lane.

Malrang- DWG: Malrang has been great since DWG shifted their lineup around and inserted him into the starting lineup. He is averaging 11.5 K+A in his 4 games so far and DWG is yet to lose a game with this new lineup. To top it off he is only averaging ONE death per game so far. Look for DWG to win this series easily and Malrang to continue to put up big numbers.

MID

Doinb - FPX: If you elected not to play Doinb at captain he is a great choice for the mid-lane spot in your lineups.

ShowMaker - DWG: On DK you can still take ShowMaker in the mid lane. ShowMaker as an ADC has a 32.8% Kill Share and has racked up 22 kills in his four games at the position.

Yagao - JDG: Yagao is the second most expensive player on the entire slate on DK but is only the fifth most expensive mid laner on FD. You can play him on either site, but the savings make him a much better play on FD. He has a very impressive 75.4% Kill Participation along with a 29.2% Kill Share.

ADC

Lpc - JDG: If not playing him at captain the starting ADC for the biggest favourite of the day is worth consideration here.

Lwx - FPX: Lwx will be in most of my lineups on this slate. While his kill total is lower than we would like to see out of an ADC, pairing him up with Doinb will allow you to not care which way the kill goes. He is averaging 73.5 DK points so far with just a 16.4% Kill Share. Imagine what those numbers could look like if we get a series in which he has a 25-30% kill share.

Elk - WE: While it is rarely optimal to use players from both sides of a game, this series has the potential to see both teams put up some big numbers. Elk is sitting on a 30.1% Kill share and in a series featuring the highest O/U on kills he has the potential to outscore some other ADC's even if they lose.

SUPPORT

Crisp - FPX: Crisp is my favourite play at the support position today. I will be pairing him up with Lwx and watching the points roll in. He is averaging 10.1 K+A per game and that number should be even higher after this bloodbath of a series.

Missing - WE: Missing is very cheap on both sites and provides a ton of value to get some other big names in your lineups. If playing Elk it makes sense to pair him with his bot lane partner. He has a 71% counter pick rate so far compared to Crisp's 44% which should lead to Missing getting put on an advantageous matchup.

TEAM

JDG: The biggest favourite on the slate, makes for an easy choice in the Team slot. They should have no trouble dismantling V5 and racking up some easy points along the way.

DWG: While the DWG players may not put up monster scores due to it being a lower kill series, DWG as a team should be right up there in fantasy points. DWG much like JDG is a  big favourite in their series and both likely result in 2-0 sweeps.

FINAL THOUGHTS

HLE vs. AF is the first game of the slate and it is one I will be completely avoiding, both teams offer some cheap players but I don't think we need to go there. JDG are the most expensive on DK and FD overall so picking the right players from them will be important. With Lpc starting and him being super cheap on FD it makes it much easier to fit in whoever you want. The DWG series has the lowest O/U on kills for the slate, which caps some of their upside, but they will likely come with lower ownership and still are worthy of consideration. The WE & FPX series is the one I am most excited for with FPX being the team I am stacking the most.

That's it, for now, Summoners, good luck tomorrow!
