LPL & LCK DFS Picks (3/5/22) - DraftKings and FanDuel League of Legends Daily Fantasy

Nolan's expert League of Legends (LoL) DFS advice and DraftKings, FanDuel lineup picks for LPL & LCK on 3/5/22. His top LoL value plays and eSports DFS recommendations.

Welcome back to another League of Legends DFS fantasy slate! We have a great 5 game slate on the board today.

Roster changes will be addressed if need be when mentioning each team.  As a friendly reminder, if you can't stomach any sub risk or don't enjoy waking up early, then figure a way to roster players that don't hold any sub risk. The LCK is tricky when it comes to starting lineups, and we are usually given the LCK starting lineups about an hour or so before lock, for the first series. (@KorizonEsports on Twitter is a good lineup source, as well as @kenzi131) In this case, we probably won't get LCK lineups before the 2:00 AM lock, so we are going to try and project starters based on new additions. LPL starters are found earlier and on Twitter too.

I'll provide my League of Legends DFS advice, analysis, and lineup picks for this LPL & LCK slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 2:00 AM EST on Saturday, March 5th, 2022. If you have any questions about the slate or anything please reach out to me on Twitter @nolanroth10. I'll do my best to provide some useful analysis, and the odds listed are from Pinnacle. Let's jump right into the matchups, and good luck RotoBallers.

LCK Matches

3:00 AM: KDF (+) vs. GEN (-)

This game does not have betting odds as we await the status of ADC Ruler who missed the last series due to Covid. I expect GEN to be able to win this match with or without Ruler, but it is an obvious upgrade when he is in the lineup. If I had to guess he will not be playing but take a look at the starting lineups before locking in your lineups.

KDF have the fewest team deaths in the LCK even with an overall record of 12-15. With the Ruler news up in the air, this game is feeling more and more like a fade game. If Ruler is in fact out, I could see taking a few shots on KDF as a leverage play. For KDF it all starts with Teddy, he leads the team in KP and KS by a significant margin.

It is tough to break down GEN without knowing the lineup. Last match we saw Chovy move to the top lane along with many other lineup rotations. Peanut, Chovy, and whoever plays ADC would be who I have my interest in. If Ruler doesn't play, it opens up some interesting lineup combinations as you could play double mid from GEN on DK.

Top KDF plays: Teddy, Fate

Top DRX plays: Chovy, Peanut, Ruler/Ophelia

5:00 AM: BRO (+137) vs. NS (-179)

I am all aboard the BRO train in this one, I love their price point and I was surprised to see NS be favored by as much as they are. Both teams are middle of the pack and it wouldn't shock me to see 3 games here.

Lava, UmTi, and Delight all sit above 70% kill participation and ADC Hena is just behind at 69%. As is the case on many teams, the top lane has been left on an island and has the lowest KP% on the team as well as the lowest KS excluding the support. Lava and Hena combine for over 50% of the KS so I would look to have both in all BRO lineups.

Top BRO plays: Lava, Hena, Delight, UmTi

Top NS plays: Dread, Bdd

LPL Matches

2:00 AM: LGD (+625) vs. WBG (-1200)

This match just feels like a 2-0 WBG win, LGD simply is not very good and WBG is a top team in the LPL. I have no interest in LGD here at all.

Huanfeng, Angel, and SofM combine for almost 80% of the kill share, that would be a good spot to start in WBG lines. Based on pricing I like TheShy as the fourth member in WBG stacks over ON on this slate. On DK ON is the second most expensive support compared to TheShy who is third in terms of pricing. TheShy has a 54.3% KP and 15.7% KS, and I'm willing to bet that after tomorrow both those numbers are higher than today.

Top WBG plays: Huanfeng, Angel, SofM, TheShy

4:00 AM: AL (+156) vs. IG (-205)

This is nothing but a gut feeling, but I am feeling an AL upset here. I find myself leaning towards IG a lot throughout the split so it's noteworthy that I am on the other side here.

IG went 2-3 in matches in February after going 1-4 in January, this was a team I was expecting more out of but they have underdelivered all year.

Betty is where all AL lineups need to start, he leads the team in both KP and KS. Forge and Xiaohao join Betty in the 70+% KP range while having a 19.8 and 20.1 percent KS. These will be my core 3 for AL and then will rotate in top and support based on lineup optimization.

Top AL plays: Betty, Forge, Xiaohao, QuiQui

6:00 AM: EDG (+156) vs. RNG (-205)

The late-game hammer is going to be a great one! We get two of the top teams in the LPL going head to head here.

For EDG it starts with Viper and Scout, who have a combined 58.2% of the KS. After Viper and Scout, I am looking towards JieJie and Meiko who both sit right around the 70% mark in kill participation.

As a fan, I want to see this series go to 3 games as it should be a very back and forth series. I do lean slightly RNG but I don't think they are as clear of a favorite as the odds suggest. Both teams have some superstar names in this one and RNG's Gala and Xiaohu certainly fit that title. They are top two in KP and KS for RNG and have been carrying RNG. Wei is a great jungler and always a great play to matchup with Gala and Xiahou. I expect I will have more Bin and Ming in this one just based on the other top and support options but both are in play.

Top EDG plays: Viper, Scout, JieJie, Meiko

Top RNG plays: Gala, Xiaohu, Wei, Bin, Ming

Summary

  1. TLDR: BRO and AL pull off the upsets, GEN and WBG big favorites.
  2. GPP Stacks: My favorite combinations for GPP stacks are AL/BRO/RNG/WBG
  3. Cash Stacks: GEN/BRO, WBG/BRO

Good luck tomorrow RotoBallers!
