LEC DFS Picks (1/29/22) - DraftKings and FanDuel League of Legends Daily Fantasy

Nolan's expert League of Legends (LoL) DFS advice and DraftKings, FanDuel lineup picks for LEC on 1/29/22. His top LoL value plays and eSports DFS recommendations.

Welcome back to another League of Legends DFS fantasy slate! With the LPL on break until February 10th and the LCK only having 2 games per day for the next couple of days, I am going to dive into the LEC for week 3. The LEC is my personal favorite and what really got me into LoL.

On day 1 of week 3, we saw Rogue defeat Fnatic to remain the only undefeated team. G2 was the optimal play putting up 27 kills against MSF. Part of the number was due to G2 almost throwing the game, but we never mind a messy game. Let's get into the games.

I'll provide my League of Legends DFS advice, analysis, and lineup picks for this LEC slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 11:00 AM EST on Saturday, January 29th, 2022. If you have any questions about the slate or anything please reach out to me on Twitter @nolanroth10. I'll do my best to provide some useful analysis, and the odds listed are from Pinnacle. Let's jump right into the matchups, and good luck RotoBallers.

LEC Matches

BDS (+110) vs. SK (-145)

BDS took down AST in their last game and made it look rather easy. I don't mind taking some shots on them in GPP's. Cinkroff and Nuclearint are the clear top plays for BDS

I like the price point of SK on this slate, BDS has been dying a bunch of times in their recent losses. This should be a closer drawn-out game that gives SK time to put up the kind of kill numbers, we are looking for. Jenax is one of my favorite top lane plays of the slate as he leads SK in KS. Jezu and Treatz are also in a good spot as the BDS bot lane is likely the worst in the league.

Top BDS plays: Cinkrof, Nuclearint

Top SK plays: Jezu, Jenax, Treatz, Sertuss

XL (-200) vs. AST (+150)

I put too much faith into AST against BDS, they did not look good at all and that was against another bottom team. XL went up against MAD in a tough game for Mikyx debut. While they did not win, the team looked and worked better than I expected for their first game. Any team that goes up against AST is worth drawing some ownership, and XL has scored well in their wins this split.

Patrik leads the team in KS, and has been a clear carry in games XL has won. With only 1 game with Mikyx we don't have a large enough sample size to see how the team will play now. I expect even more attention could come towards the bot lane making Mikyx and Markoon good plays as well.

Top XL plays: Patrik, Markoon, MikyX, Finn, Nukeduck

MSF (+205) vs. MAD (-285)

MAD is the largest favorite on the slate going up against MSF who just died 27 times in a loss to G2. In all fairness, the game did get very scrappy at the end which led to the high death count. MAD is the clear cash play in a game that should have plenty of fighting.

Unforgiven continue to put up monster numbers and is the top choice on the slate, but also the most expensive. He has only been under 6 kills once this split. Elyoya continues to dominates games and is a superstar in the making. He leads the team in KP and his synergy with support Kaiser is amazing. They roam the map so well giving MAD a number advantage in plenty of skirmishes. Reeker would be the player I leave out of 4 man MAD stacks.

Top MAD plays: Unforgiven, Elyoya, Kaiser, Armut

VIT (-135) vs. RGE (+105)

What a great matchup we get here. I have to be honest I have gone back and forth a lot on how I see this game going. My gut is telling me VIT but RGE has looked flawless so far. I am going to have shares of both sides but would lean VIT if picking a side.

Perkz had his best game yet as a member of VIT putting up 5 kills. Selfmade also had his best game of the split going 8/2/6. Alphari hasn't put up great numbers but has been getting plenty of attention in the top lane. At some point that carry game is coming. A matchup with Odoamne is not the greatest but Alpahri always wins his matchup.

Malrang looked like the best jungler in the league in their win against Fnatic. All of his ganks seemed to be successful and he had a massive game. While Elyoya has the jungle title, the start that Rogue has had is a nice start to the Malrang legacy. If 4 stacking Rogue, Odoamne is who I would leave out. He has a tough lane matchup against the lane King, Alpahri.

Top VIT plays: Perkz, SelfMade, Alpahri, Carzzy

Top RGE plays: Comp, Malrang, Trymbi, Larssen

G2 (+135) vs. FNC (-175)

The final game of week 3 is always a hyped-up matchup. While G2 and Fnc are no longer both the clear top two teams always battling it out with each other, the history of the matchup still exists and is a great rivalry. While G2 is no longer a top 2 team, FNC is, and I expect to see FNC take home the win after losing their first game of the split to Rogue. G2 games tend to be bloody so they are worth some GPP shots, but for the most part, I will be targeting FNC.

The FNC bot lane is probably the best in the LEC and is always worth targeting. The entire team has been playing well and not much analysis is needed. Play all the members of FNC on this slate.

Top G2 plays: B.B, Caps, Jankos

Top FNC plays: Upset, Hyli, Wunder, Razork, Humanoid

Summary

  1. TLDR: MAD will be chalk, XL in a favorable matchup against AST. SK and FNC are in good spots.
  2. GPP Stacks: My favorite combinations for GPP stacks are XL/SK/FNC/RGE/G2
  3. Cash Stacks: For cash, MAD/VIT/FNC/XL

Good luck tomorrow RotoBallers!
