LEC DFS Lineup Picks for 7/23/21 - FanDuel, DraftKings League Of Legends Daily Fantasy

Nolan Roth's League of Leagues (LoL) analysis and LEC DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on 7/23/21. He discusses the LEC LoL slates and his top targets.

Welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Be on the lookout for coverage of the LPL, LCK, and LCS as well as we have some great analysts covering all LoL leagues for the Summer split. Today, I am focusing on the 5-game LEC slate with contests available on FanDuel and DraftKings.

We are down to the final two weeks of the LEC summer split. It is now crunch time for many of the teams looking to make a push into playoffs. 5 of the 6 spots are all but locked in, but we could still see a push from some of the bottom teams for that last spot in the playoffs. In this slate, we get to see the two teams tied for first in Rogue and Fnatic go head to head.

Today I'll be bringing you my top League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for the LEC slate on Friday, July 23th, 2021 at 12:00 PM EST. You can check me out on Twitter @nolanroth10 and follow me for more LOL content!

LEC DFS Matchups

  • Schalke (-120) vs. XL
  • Vitality vs. Misfits (-150)
  • Mad Lions (-360) vs. Astralis
  • SK  vs. G2 (-385)
  • Rogue (-135) vs. Fnatic

Captain/MVP

Larssen - RGE: Rogue and Fnatic are both in the top 3 in kills in the LEC. Every game with Fnatic is going to have plenty of fighting which gives us the kill upside we are looking for. Fnatic won the last matchup between these two but Rogue is ready to even up the series this split. Larssen leads Rogue in kill share at 26.4% and comes in at a very reasonable price

Jankos– G2: The G2 players are quite expensive on this slate, but going up against SK they are worth paying the price for. Jankos is first on G2 in kill participation and second in kill share.

TOP

Odoamne - RGE: While Odoamne is known as the weakside king, Rogue have actually shown a willingness to play around top lane if the game is taking them that way where in the past it was bottom lane or bust. Odo is a fantastic laner with a GD10 of 259 and an XP10 of 93. Adam on the other hand has a -125 GD10 and a-241 Xp10. While Adam has done most of his damage as a top laner in later game fights, Odoamne should be able to build up a solid lead in the early game and carry that into the late game fights.

HiRit- MSF: HiRit has been very boom or bust these last few weeks but the upside he has is what we are looking at. Vitality is 1-3 since Szygenda has taken over the top lane and the team as a whole have been struggling. HiRit is second on Misfits in kill share which is rare as a top laner.

JUNGLE

Jankos – G2: If you haven't chosen Jankos in the captain slot, he is worth considering here.

Inspired - RGE: Inspired is one of the better junglers in the league and is one of the reasons why Rogue are tied for first. Inspired has a 70.1% kill participation which leads all of Rogue and also has a counter pick rate of 69% meaning he often gets to pick himself a winning jungle matchup. This game should feature high kill totals and Inspired will be right in the middle of it.

Markoon – XL: XL has really fallen off after making a splash with the additions of Markoon and Advienne, however they still have shown some bright spots and going up against Schalke they should be able to pull out a victory. Markoon has a 77.4% kill participation and is one of the more aggressive members of XL

MID

Larssen- RGE: If Larssen isn’t your captain, get him locked in here.

Caps – G2: Caps is the most expensive mid on DK but middle of the pack on FD. Caps has been playing much better in the last couple weeks and a matchup against SK shouldn't be much of an issue for G2. SK mid laner Blue has the worst laning stats of any mid laner.

Vetheo- MSF: Vetheo continues to be a beast for Misfits and is third in the LEC in kills. He carries a 70% kill participation and a 30% kill share which are both great numbers. As mentioned earlier Vitality have really been struggling recently whereas Misfits are fresh off a 2-0 week.

ADC

Hans Sama - RGE: If Rogue could have their way every game they would play around the bot lane and Hans Sama would be the win condition. While this doesn't happen every time it is a successful strategy for Rogue that they look to implement as often as they can. Both Rogue and Fnatic bot lanes are very aggressive so we will likely see some 2v2 kills in the lane phase. Hans is second in both kill participation and kill share for Rogue.

Rekkles - G2: Rekkles is the most expensive player on both DK and FD. Other than his one bad flash on Vayne against Fnatic that lost them a team fight, he has been playing extremely well and has been racking up the kill numbers. His last four games he has had 6,11,8 and 4 kills. He has a kill share of 32.5% and a KDA of 7.5, he also went 6/0/4 against SK earlier this split.

SUPPORT

Kaiser- MAD: Astralis is a team that is willing to fight and Kaiser is happy being the one starting up fights for MAD. His ability to roam the map and be in the right place at the right time is incredible and he is so much better than Astralis support Promisq.

Advienne – XL: While I will not be full stacking XL they do have some cheap pieces that are worth playing. Advienne is only $4400 on DK and allows you to fit in some expensive players throughout the lineup. He has only had one good scoring game since joining the XL roster so his upside isn't that of the top end supports but it is also why he is so cheap. Going up against Schalke he has a chance to put up a solid total.

TEAM

MAD: Astralis is in the bottom half of the league in both dragon and baron control rates, whereas MAD are 4th and 3rd in the respective categories. Not to mention MAD is a top 3 team in the league and are overall a much better team than Astralis.

Misfits: Misfits and Vitality are two teams going the opposite direction, Misfits went 2-0 last week while Vitality have lost 5 of their last 6 games. Misfits team slot is very affordable on this slate and should continue their run of good scores.

Final Thoughts

Being on the winning side of the Rogue and Fnatic game is going to very important for this slate. I don't think Rogue allows Fnatic to sweep the split and Larssen and Hans Sama have big games. G2 will be popular as well but there is some risk with how expensive they are. This is another one of those slates where each game is worthy of being used in DFS, I could see MAD going over looked in a very playable game against Astralis.
