ANALYSIS: Milwaukee Brewers infielder Joey Ortiz has seen some success in his first full major league season. After being dealt from the Baltimore Orioles to the Brewers this offseason in the Corbin Burnes deal, Ortiz has become a surprise contributor in Milwaukee's lineup this year.
Ortiz is currently hitting .292 with five home runs, 12 doubles, and 23 RBI through the first 56 games. The 25-year-old continues to see the ball well at the plate and should be rostered in all 12-plus team leagues moving forward.
There is only ONE player in the Major Leagues right now that ranks in the 80th percentile or higher in walk rate, strikeout rate, sprint speed, and bat speed.

The Brewers third baseman has been one of the biggest rookie surprises in 2024 and has contributed solid fantasy numbers all season. He has a current 14-game on-base streak while tallying a hit in nine of the past 10 contests. The sky is the limit for Ortiz, a player MLB Pipeline had as their No. 63 overall prospect heading into the year. Make sure to pick him up before Week 12 begins because his rostership continues to climb.
