Fantasy Basketball Category Streamers for Week 20: Jaxson Hayes, Lonnie Walker IV, Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt, Herbert Jones

NBA fantasy baseball streamers waiver wire pickups

Week 20 fantasy basketball streamers based on H2H 9-category leagues for the 2021-2022 NBA season. Keith Cork recommends guards, forwards, and centers to target through waivers or free agency in fantasy leagues who may help in specific categories.

Your league SHOULD be starting fantasy playoffs now or next week. Otherwise, you'll be running into "silly season" as you get into the championship match which is just not ideal at all. We're cracking down and trying to bring you the BEST streamers in every category here so you can win your matchups. Use your moves wisely. Load up on games early in the week then save some moves for Thursday - Sunday.

Let's see how our top picks last week fared: Isaiah Jackson (FG%, PTS, BLKS, 12th-round total value), Jeremy Lamb (FT%, unranked womp womp), Malik Beasley (3PTM, 8th-round value), Oshae Brissett (REBS, 14th-round value), Tyus Jones (ASTS, unranked womp womp), Chuma Okeke (STLS, 8th-round value). Four out of six guys hit value, but let me talk on my guy Isaiah Jackson a minute. He's a per-minute beast but he's struggling with foul trouble, which is really frustrating. In H2H, you still hold because he just has such huge upside if he can manage to stay on the floor for 22+ minutes a night. That's not a given, but there is hope as the Pacers are tanking. Let's get some great streamers for y'all though to crush these playoffs/final weeks!

16 of the 30 teams in the league have four games this week while the other 14 have three games. That means any team is okay, but we're going to try to focus on teams that play two or more times in the first four days in order to maximize your streaming potential. That means we're fading the Cavs, Celtics, Pacers, Grizzlies, Raptors, and Wizards.

Week 20 Standard 9-Category Leagues

Columns are written based on H2H nine-category standard size leagues:

FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE

Jaxson Hayes - PF/C - New Orleans Pelicans (37% rostered)

Jaxson Hayes was dropped by quite a few teams after a few rough games against Rudy Gobert and Nikola Jokic. I'm not too worried, and you absolutely should add Jaxson on a 4-game week with two matchups against Memphis and Orlando. Hayes has been a 9th-round value over the last three weeks and should get things rolling again in these matchups. Just keep an eye on the Zion Williamson news to see if he is actually going to come back and play this season.

Other streamers:

FREE THROW PERCENTAGE

Immanuel Quickley - PG/SG - New York Knicks (15% rostered)

Immanuel Quickley has seen his minutes in the 20+ range in four straight games now, so he's worth a look as a cheap source of points, threes, and rebounds from the guard position. He also happens to shoot better than 90% from the free-throw line. The Knicks are falling out of the play-in race slowly, so he may get even more minutes down the stretch. Be warned though that you'll need to keep tabs on Derrick Rose who is working his way back from surgery to repair a skin infection. If Rose comes back, and as long as Tom Thibodeau is the coach, they're going to play Rose over Quickley.

Other streamers:

  • Cory Joseph - PG/SG - Detroit Pistons (3% rostered)
  • Herbert Jones - SF/PF - New Orleans Pelicans (49% rostered)
  • Otto Porter - SF/PF - Golden State Warriors (22% rostered)
  • De'Andre Hunter - SF/PF - Atlanta Hawks (36% rostered)
  • Cody Martin - SG/SF - Charlotte Hornets (7% rostered)

POINTS

Lonnie Walker IV - SG/SF - San Antonio Spurs (33% rostered)

Lonnie Walker IV just put up a dud against the Charlotte Hornets, but don't let that fool you. He's going to be relied on to score and should get enough minutes to do just that now that Derrick White is no longer in his way. Over the last two weeks, he's averaging just a shade over 20 points per game. You can't beat that on the wire, and he has a four-game week to boot.

Other streamers:

  • Marvin Bagley - PF/C - Detroit Pistons (18% rostered)
  • Malik Beasley - PG/SG - Minnesota Timberwolves (36% rostered)
  • Bruce Brown - SG/SF/PF - Brooklyn Nets (32% rostered)
  • Isaiah Roby - C - Oklahoma City Thunder (39% rostered)
  • Dorian Finney-Smith - SF/PF - Dallas Mavericks (48% rostered)
  • Tre Mann  - PG/SG - Oklahoma City Thunder (38% rostered)

THREE-POINTERS

Malik Beasley - PG/SG - Minnesota Timberwolves (36% rostered)

Malik Beasley jumped about 10 percentage points in ownership since I last recommended him as an add for teams in need of three-pointers and he's been balling outta his mind recently. He's put up 4.6 treys per game over the last two weeks and there's no end in sight, especially now that Anthony Edwards is dealing with an injury. Add him and hope Ant Man keeps sitting out. The T'Wolves have a four-game week.

Other streamers:

  • Dorian Finney-Smith - SF/PF - Dallas Mavericks (48% rostered)
  • Max Strus - SG/SF - Miami Heat (4% rostered)
  • Gabe Vincent - PG/SG - Miami Heat (20% rostered, *IF LOWRY IS OUT)
  • Lonnie Walker IV - SG/SF - San Antonio Spurs (33% rostered)
  • Reggie Bullock - SG/SF - Dallas Mavericks (25% rostered)

REBOUNDS

Jarred Vanderbilt - PF/C - Minnesota Timberwolves (47% rostered)

Be aware that you are not going to get any scoring from Jarred Vanderbilt. You will, however, get plenty of boards as he's averaging 8.7 per game over the last few weeks while putting up enough steals, blocks, and assists to be a borderline option. With four games this week, a matchup against the Blazers and Thunder teed up to start the week, and no Anthony Edwards, he's a great snag for teams in need of boards.

Other streamers:

  • Mason Plumlee- PF/C - Charlotte Hornets (44% rostered)
  • Hassan Whiteside - PF/C - Utah Jazz (34% rostered)
  • DeMarcus Cousins - PF/C - Denver Nuggets (30% rostered)
  • Drew Eubanks - PF/C - Portland Trail Blazers (9% rostered)
  • Alec Burks - PG/SG/SF - New York Knicks (38% rostered)

ASSISTS

Patrick Beverley - PG/SG - Minnesota Timberwolves (34% rostered)

Welcome to the toughest category to stream basically every weak. There's just not a lot of assists out there on the wire, so we're listing a guy who is currently listed as questionable for Monday. The Wolves have four games this week though, so even if he has to miss Monday's game, he gets three other games this week and is one of the best options out there for assists. He's averaging five per game over the last two weeks.

Other streamers:

STEALS

Herbert Jones - SF/PF - New Orleans Pelicans (49% rostered)

Herb Jones has been a fantasy asset for a while now, so it's surprising he's available in over half of all leagues. If you want more well-rounded lines though, the guy to grab is Bruce Brown. But if you strictly need a steals specialist, Herb Jones is your man. He's snagging 2.8 per game over the last two weeks and his role is safe. He gets two juicy matchups to start the week against Memphis and Orlando.

Other streamers:

  • Tre Mann - PG/SG - Oklahoma City Thunder (38% rostered)
  • De'Anthony Melton - PG/SG - Memphis Grizzlies (45% rostered)
  • Otto Porter - SF/PF - Golden State Warriors (22% rostered)
  • Cody Martin - SG/SF - Charlotte Hornets (7% rostered)
  • Reggie Bullock - SG/SF - Dallas Mavericks (25% rostered)
  • Bruce Brown - SG/SF/PF - Brooklyn Nets (32% rostered)

BLOCKS

Isaiah Hartenstein - PF/C - Los Angeles Clippers (16% rostered)

I'm not going to blame you if you go with Isaiah Jackson, even on a three-game week. JaVale McGee is still out there too. But Isaiah Hartenstein is the most reliable guy out there averaging 1.5 blocks or more per contest over the last two weeks and available in 50% or more of Yahoo! leagues. His role seems to be growing ever so slightly as the Clippers lean on his ability to play defense more than Ivica Zubac in certain scenarios. He gets four games this week, so we'll stick him here.

Other streamers:

  • Herb Jones - SF/PF - New Orleans Pelicans (49% rostered)
  • Jaxson Hayes - PF/C - New Orleans Pelicans (37% rostered)
  • Matisse Thybulle - SG/SF - Philadelphia 76ers (38% rostered)
  • Austin Reaves - SG - Los Angeles Lakers (1% rostered)
  • Alperen Sengun - C - Houston Rockets (33% rostered)
