DraftKings NFL DFS Lineup Picks for Week 4

Welcome to Week 2 of the NFL season. There are tons of contests on both major DFS sites, and this is the time of year to cash in. Below are my DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for Week 4.

These DraftKings lineup recommendations are based on match ups, recent performances, overall upside/talent levels, and other factors such as Vegas odds, home field advantage, and more. There are still quite a few great value plays available, so read on to find out which players are the best for Week 4.

Good luck with your DraftKings DFS lineups!

Editor's Note: The FFPC Playoff Challenge #2 is back with a massive $100,000 grand prize and $203,250 total prize pool, paying down to 100th place. Here's the deal: no salary cap, no draft, no pickups, no subs. Choose 8 players, and as NFL teams get knocked out so will your players, so choose your team wisely. The entries will sell out quickly, and registrations will close on Saturday January 17th at 4:30 pm ET . Don't wait - get your team now and end your fantasy football season with a shot at $100,000! DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks - Week 4 Picks

Blake Bortles - JAX @ NYJ (DK $5,300)

Bortles is good cheap option at quarterback this week, who is also in a favorable match up. Last week we saw him put up four touchdowns against the Ravens in London, and while we can't expect that level of production from him every week, he is still a good fantasy option. The garbage time joke about Bortles getting his yards may be coming to an end, as Bortles is seemingly doing enough during the games to hit value. This week he is up against the Jets who have the 23rd DVOA against the pass. From an eye test, we can all see how poor the Jets are on defense, and if Bortles doesn't have to push the ball down field, he can make the easy throws to move the chains. Last week he put up 27.56 DraftKings points, and as I mentioned, those fantasy points won't come every week, but given the match up, a 15+ performance is certainly on the the table. He makes a great cash game play, if you like spending down at quarterback.

Philip Rivers - LAC vs PHI (DK $6,300)

Last week was a bit of a down performance for Rivers who only put 6.48 DraftKings points against a tough Chiefs defense. In the first two games of the season, Rivers put up 18 and 20 DraftKings points. The Chargers are up against the Eagles, whose secondary got picked apart by Eli Manning, last week, so they clearly struggle against the pass. Rivers has the upside you need for tournaments, as he can easily throw for over 300 yards. The Eagles have the 14th DVOA against the pass, so there is clearly some room for Rivers to take advantage of them. Stacking him with a receiver is a fantastic option, and you should consider either Keenan Allen or Tyrell Williams.

DraftKings DFS Running Backs - Week 4 Picks

LeSean McCoy - BUF @ ATL (DK $8,400)

The Bills are at Atlanta this week who have the 31st DVOA against the rush, and the 16th DVOA against running backs catching out of the backfield. They have yet to show they can stop either of those, and McCoy should feast this week. McCoy has six or more targets in all three games this season, which shows he is involved in the passing game. This game has an over under of 48.5 points, with the Bills at an implied team total of 20 points. The Bills simply don't have a ton of offensive weapons, so if they are going to score three touchdowns, they will rely on McCoy to get them there. He has 10 or more DraftKings points in each of his three games this season, but has yet to find the end zone, and this is the spot for him to do so.

DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers - Week 4 Picks

Adam Thielen - MIN vs DET (DK $5,800)

If there is one thing I love when it comes to DFS wide receivers it's volume, and the only thing I love more than that, is even more volume. Thielen has 24 targets through three games this season, and is showing that he is a dynamic number two receiver. He is averaging 99 yards per game, but has yet to find the end zone this season. The Vikings are up against the Lions, which means Darius Slay, the Lions top corner back, may shadow Stefon Diggs. This has the potential to create an opening for Thielen, since the Lions have the 16th DVOA against the pass. He is a solid option for cash or GPP, and isn't too expensive.

A.J. Green - CIN @ CLE (DK $8,600)

Green and the Bengals finally found the end zone last week for the first time all season, but still lost the game vs the Packers. If the Bengals want any shot at even a Wild Card, they NEED to beat the Browns this week, which should mean a big effort from Green. He has 10 or more targets in two of the three games this season, and is up against the Browns who have the 26th DVOA against the pass, and the 31st DVOA against WR1. He is a PPR machine, and his price didn't rise too much on DraftKings this week, so buy in on him when he is still under $9K.

DraftKings DFS Tight Ends - Week 4 Picks

Zach Ertz - PHI @ LAC (DK $6,300)

We are seeing Ertz become the favorite target of Carson Wentz, as he has 10 targets in each of his last two games, along with eight in Week 1. Ertz's price has risen nearly $3K since Week 1, so if you like to spend down at tight end, you might want to reconsider this week. The Eagles are up against the Chargers, who have the 31st DVOA against tight ends. His match up is very favorable, his consistency is there, and he is a top target in their offense. All good signs pointing to another successful fantasy week.

DraftKings DFS Defenses - Week 4 Picks

Arizona Cardianls vs San Francisco 49ers (DK $3,200)

The Cardinals defense might be the same team it was just a few seasons ago, but at home as a seven point favorite, they are in a good spot. The 49ers offense simply isn't as good as they showed in the Thursday night game last week. They aren't going to be putting up 39 points every game, as they showed in the first two week where they only put up 12 points combined. The Cardinals defense is in the middle when it comes to price, and have plenty of sack and turnover potential vs Hoyer.
