DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (Late Slate - 6/17/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

The top late-slate daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on June 17, 2023. Mike's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

DraftKings took a ginsu to this slate and chopped it up again. FanDuel didn't split out the first two games. As far as we are concerned here at RotoBaller, those are on their own as well. The nine-game afternoon "main" slate will be covered in full here at RotoBaller. I'm here to discuss the four-game prime-time slate to finish off our Saturday.

This article contains my picks for the four-game late slate on Saturday, June 17, 2023, for both DraftKings and FanDuel, which locks at 7:15 PM ET. Weather in Boston could again be an issue, so make sure to check in before first pitch in Fenway to make sure the game is trending towards playing.

The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Blake Snell, SD vs. TB ($9,200 DK, $9,900 FD)

Is Snellzilla back? The lefty has only allowed two runs in 24 innings over his last four starts after getting thumped by the Red Sox back on May 19. There's a whole lot to like about Snell's recent outings. He has fanned 33 batters in those 24 innings and has limited the hits. Walks have been a bit of an issue (10 allowed in the last four starts), but he's not allowing hard contact either. His last outing was an absolute gem at Coors. The Rays aren't a team I usually go after, but Snell feels reasonably priced and this is a small slate. He's my cash anchor.

Brayan Bello, BOS vs. NYY ($7,500 DK, $8,500 FD)

Conventional wisdom tells us not to start a youngster against the Yankees in this rivalry, right? Well, Bello has double-digit fantasy points in each of his last seven starts. He's going to give up a couple of runs. Probably a couple of walks too. Maybe get us a handful of strikeouts. He's predictably solid, as he has been against the Yankees in his short career so far.

What the Statcast report tells us is that Bello is getting exactly the kind of production to match how he has pitched. The xBA and xSLG are nearly identical to the actual numbers, and he isn't allowing the Yankees to elevate the ball much against him. I expect another solid start out of Bello. His last start was last week in Yankee Stadium and he only allowed two runs in seven innings. I'll take another outing like that at his price.

Others to consider: Bobby Miller ($7,700 DK, $10,000 FD) vs. SF

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Justin Turner - 1B/3B, BOS vs. NYY ($3,900 DK, $3,000 FD)

We knew that Turner couldn't struggle forever, nor could the entire Boston offense. Turner smacked two homers last night – his third and fourth of the month already – in the rout of the Yankees to open up the newest chapter of this rivalry series. Turner is riding a seven-game hitting streak with multiple hits in five of those seven games. He has also driven in at least one run in five straight. He's at least $1,000 too cheap on both sites for the production we're getting.

Mookie Betts - 2B/OF, LAD vs. SF ($6,000 DK, $4,300 FD)

Mookie has absolutely destroyed Alex Wood in his career. He is hitting .450 and slugging 1.050 in 20 at-bats with three homers, a double, a triple, and two walks against Wood. Whatever the price, pay it. This is one of those cases where the BvP is worth paying attention to.

Jose Ramirez - 3B, CLE at ARI ($4,600 DK, $3,900 FD)

Ramirez extended his hitting streak to nine games last night. In that span, he is hitting .462 with five of his 11 homers on the season and 11 RBI. He even swiped a base for good measure. This feels like a more than fair price to pay for this kind of production, especially on DK.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Fernando Tatis Jr. - OF(DK), OF/SS(FD), SD vs. TB ($6,100 DK, $4,600 FD)

Is the other shoe finally dropping for Zach Eflin? He didn't even make it through five innings in Oakland in his last start and has allowed seven runs over his last three starts. That's not damning, but it's not the gaudy numbers that he put up in the first two months of the season either. The entire Padres offense is going pretty well right now with Tatis leading the way. Nando has eight straight games with double-digit fantasy points. He's one of the few guys that I'll pay this much for, Mookie being the other.

Juan Soto - OF, SD vs. TB ($5,100 DK, $3,500 FD)

I'm not really going after Eflin. I promise. However, Soto and Eflin are former N.L. East foes and Soto definitely got the better end of their relationship when he was with the Nats and Eflin was with the Phillies. Soto is a blistering 11-for-23 against Eflin with two doubles, two homers, and five walks. There are enough other places to get cheap, even at pitcher if you have to. There are a lot of expensive bats that can really set our lineups apart on a slate like this.

Jake McCarthy - OF, ARI vs. CLE ($2,700 DK, $2,500 FD)

In DFS circles, a stolen base is worth just as much as a double. McCarthy doesn't get a lot of doubles, but he does get a lot of steals. In this case, cheap steals. McCarthy has swiped a base in each of the last two games, giving him a dozen steals since his return to the majors on May 26. The fact that he is riding a modest five-game hitting streak (in which he has two doubles and two triples) doesn't hurt either. Be patient. The RBI will come.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Alex Wood

I'm not even going to try and woo you and plead my case. I'm just going to show you the Statcast and leave it at that. On top of all of this, Wood is making his first start back from the IL. Good luck, dude. You're going to need it.

Also consider: Boston Red Sox vs. Clarke Schmidt

Sneaky stack: San Diego Padres vs. Zach Eflin

Eflin's overall numbers are still good, but the Padres are starting to hit and Eflin has a gory 5.53 ERA on the road. You'll be on an island with a full stack here, but that could be what sets you apart in a large field GPP.
