Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - Waiver Wire Picks for Monday 8/30

Christian Walker - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News, Draft Sleepers

Top daily fantasy baseball streamers and waiver wire adds for 8/30/21. Frank Ammirante identifies MLB hitters and starting pitchers to stream based on matchups.

Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs.

Each day RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from Yahoo! leagues.

Today we have an 11-game slate, giving us a deep pool of streamers.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Hitter Streamers for 8/30 - Shallow Leagues

Tyler Naquin (OF, LHB, CIN) - 70% Rostered

Matchup: vs. STL LHP Jon Lester

Naquin has been blistering hot over the last 14 days, coming into Sunday's action with a .615 wOBA, 12 runs, five homes, and seven RBI. While I don't like the lefty-lefty matchup, Lester is not a matchup to fear and it's unlikely that he'll pitch deep into this game. Naquin has been mostly hitting at the top of the order for the Reds, so he's in a good position to keep the good times rolling here, especially since it's a home game in the bandbox that is Great American.

Josh Bell (1B, SHB, WAS) 59% Rostered

Matchup: vs. PHI RHP Zack Wheeler

Bell has a tough matchup against Wheeler, but he came into Sunday with a .313/.389/.500 slash with three runs, two homers, and eight RBI in his last nine games. Bell also homered twice on Sunday, so this is a hitter who is really starting to get hot and we know that he can go on impressive power surges. Fire up the Nationals slugger here, even against one of the best pitchers in the NL this season.

Kolten Wong (2B, LHB, MIL) 42% Rostered

Matchup: at SF RHP Johnny Cueto

Wong continues to be one of the more underrated hitters in baseball, coming into Sunday with a .325/.413/.575 slash, eight runs, two homers, 10 RBI, and one steal in the last 14 days. Wong also went 2-for-5 with two doubles in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Twins. While Cueto has been better at home, Wong is still a fixture in the leadoff spot, so we need to ride with him as he swings a hot bat.

Hitter Streamers for 8/30 - Deeper Leagues

Christian Walker (1B, RHB, ARI) 20% Rostered

Matchup: vs. SD RHP Chris Paddack

Walker has a great matchup at home against Paddack, who has put up an xwOBA in the 27th-percentile this season. That does not bode well against a D-Backs lineup that hits better at home. Walker has also been swinging the bat well lately, putting up a .429 wOBA in the last 14 days coming into Sunday. While his season-long totals look underwhelming, we know that Walker is better than he's performed this year.

Brandon Marsh (OF, LHB, LAA) 10% Rostered

Matchup: vs. NYY RHP Corey Kluber

Marsh has been red-hot of late, putting up a .473 wOBA with six runs, one homer, and 11 RBI in the last 14 days before Sunday's game. He's taking on Kluber, who is making his first start since May 25th, so we can expect the veteran righty to have a limited workload. Keep riding with Marsh in this exploitable matchup. He'll likely provide you with some salary relief if you're playing the DFS slate.

Odubel Herrera (OF, LHB, PHI) 8% Rostered

Matchup: at WAS RHP Josiah Gray

Herrera is another widely available hitter who has performed very well over the last 14 days, slashing .419/.468/.651 with seven runs, four homers, and six RBI over the last 14 days. He followed that up by going 1-for-1 with a stolen base on Sunday. Herrera has been a fixture in the leadoff spot for the Phillies, which makes him a great choice, especially in DFS tournaments, where he figures to be unpopular given the large slate.

Pitcher Streamers for 8/30 - Shallow Leagues

Chris Flexen (RHP, SEA) 52% Rostered

Matchup: vs. HOU

Flexen simply continues to get it done. Since May 21st, he's put up a 3.56 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with a 4.8 BB% and 17.4 K% in 101 innings. While the strikeout upside is virtually non-existent and the matchup against the Astros is a tough one, we have to roll with Flexen with how he's pitching right now. The Mariners are still in contention for a wildcard spot and it's always to ride with contending teams at this time of year.

Pitcher Streamers for 8/30 - Deep Leagues

Johnny Cueto (RHP, SF) 28% Rostered

Matchup: vs. MIL

Cueto has been a different pitcher at home this season, putting up a 3.09 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with nine walks and 52 strikeouts in 58.1 innings. The Brewers have been swinging hot bats in August, posting a 101 wRC+ (T-12th), but Cueto's been too good at home to pass up here. We can expect the veteran righty to be a contrarian play in DFS, making him a good choice for tournaments.
