Welcome back to another edition of RotoBaller's NBA Props! We have a smaller four-game slate this evening, but there is still plenty to get excited about. The Sixers and Grizzlies get the night started, as Joel Embiid has a chance to return for Philly. The marquee matchup of the night comes in Los Angeles, where Luka Doncic and the Lakers will host Cade Cunningham and the Pistons.
The injury report is headlined by the aforementioned Embiid, with Keyonte George also carrying a notable questionable tag.
In this article, I will provide my favorite NBA player props picks for Tuesday, December 30th. Prop picks can range from individual stats, such as points, assists, rebounds, three-pointers made, and defensive statistics, to combination props (Points + Rebounds + Assists = PRA). All odds and sportsbooks used are listed, but it's always a good idea to shop around, as odds change throughout the day as bets are placed. Let's get to the picks already. I loaded it up for tonight!

Today’s Best NBA Prop Bets & Player Props
Let’s take a look at the top player props for today’s NBA slate:
- Cade Cunningham over 25.5 Points
- Kawhi Leonard over 7.5 Rebounds
- Jusuf Nurkic over 13.5 Rebounds + Assists
- Cam Spencer over 17.5 Points + Assists
- Jaden Ivey over 13.5 Points + Assists
Cade Cunningham over 25.5 Points (-114 FanDuel), (-111 NOVIG)
Pistons guard Cade Cunningham is enjoying an excellent season that has earned him consideration for the MVP award. He is averaging a career-high 26.5 points per game and has Detroit sitting atop the Eastern Conference standings. The 24-year-old ranks among the best in the league in drives per game, and he is getting to the charity stripe more than seven times per game. His usage rate is hovering around 30%, and he is playing nearly 36 minutes per game. No matter which metric is being considered, Cunningham is one of the league's elite scorers.

Tonight's matchup comes against the Lakers and a fellow MVP candidate, Luka Doncic. The Lakers rank just 23rd in defensive efficiency, and they will be without three key rotation members this evening. Cunningham should be hyped up for the matchup, and he's well-positioned to clear 25.5 points.
Kawhi Leonard over 7.5 Rebounds (-120 Bet365), (-118 NOVIG)
Clippers star Kawhi Leonard has been playing incredible basketball recently, including posting the first 50-point game of his career last time out. His scoring props are rightfully sky-high for that reason in this great matchup against Sacramento, but there is another angle worth exploring. Brook Lopez has taken over as the starting center since Ivica Zubac went down with an injury, and that represents a clear downgrade in the rebounding department. Leonard actually leads the team with a 12.9% rebound rate with Zubac off the floor this season, and he's averaged 9.8 rebounds per game across the last four contests that Zubac has missed or left with injury.
In addition to the boost from the change in his team's rotation, Leonard also gets an elite rebounding matchup against the Kings. They have played most of the season without their own star center, Domantas Sabonis, and they have clearly missed his presence on the glass. The Kings have allowed the sixth-most rebounds in the league, and they rank dead last in rebound rate this season.
Leonard has cleared 7.5 rebounds in five straight games, and everything lines up for him to do it once again.

How Does Novig Work?
Since users are not playing against the books, there is an opportunity to make more money per wager that you win, and users can usually find better values on bets (in terms of the prices being offered) than on traditional sportsbooks.
There are no oddsmakers; users dictate their own odds. You can either accept the odds that the market is offering or set your own odds. If you set your own odds, another user has to accept them on the other side for the bet to be activated.
For example, if you set the odds of Jaylen Brown to go over 29.5 points at -110, then anyone can flip the bet and take the under on his points prop at +110. Users drive the market, not the sportsbook or oddsmakers!
Top Value Props & Sleeper Picks
Betting on superstars is always exciting, but the best value often lies on the margins of a roster. Role players and emerging contributors can offer hidden edges, especially as the season wears on and injuries start to shake up rotations.
Let’s dive into some of the top value plays for today’s NBA slate.
Jusuf Nurkic over 13.5 Rebounds + Assists (-115 BetMGM), (-138 NOVIG)
Utah big man Jusuf Nurkic has held down the starting center position since Walker Kessler suffered a long-term injury early this season. Since entering the starting lineup, he has averaged 10.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 26.8 minutes across 23 games. Despite being the consistent starter, his playing time has been quite volatile, playing as few as 19 minutes in some games, with a season high of 38 minutes. Kevin Love has operated as the primary backup for Nurkic this season, and he is out tonight, which could lead to a few extra minutes for Nurkic.
The matchup against Boston is nothing to fear, as they rank just 15th in defensive efficiency and rebounding. They have allowed the seventh-most offensive rebounds in the league this season, which is an area where Nurkic has excelled throughout his career. Boston does a good job of limiting opponent assists, but the RA line is just four above Nurkic's widely available 9.5 rebounds line. Keyonte George is also questionable to play tonight, and Nurkic gets a small bump in the assists department with George off the floor.
Cam Spencer over 17.5 Points + Assists (-110 Fanatics), (-116 NOVIG)
The Grizzlies' backcourt has been decimated by injuries all season long. Ja Morant is now back but is presumably still operating on a minutes restriction. Vince Williams and John Konchar remain out, and now Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is dealing with a hamstring injury and will miss this game. The most consistent player in the backcourt this season has undoubtedly been Cam Spencer.
Spencer is enjoying a breakout season, averaging 12.4 points and 4.7 assists per game. Even those averages don't tell the full story, as Spencer clearly turned a corner around mid-November and saw a significant uptick in production. Over his last 15 games, the second-year guard is averaging 16.0 points and 6.4 assists.

Morant's return bumped Spencer from the starting lineup, but he has still played at least 25 minutes and cleared this line in both games since Morant was back in the lineup. He could also be in line for more playing time now that KCP will join Williams and Konchar on the sidelines.
Jaden Ivey over 13.5 Points + Assists (-125 Bet365)
Pistons guard Jaden Ivey got a late start to his season after undergoing knee surgery. He has been playing on a minutes restriction since making his debut in late November, averaging just 14.9 minutes per game until his most recent outing. Last game, he was in the closing lineup for the first time all season and finished with a season-high 29 minutes played. While it remains unclear if he is in line for that big of a workload going forward, at least the possibility is now within his range of outcomes.
In addition to his workload increase in the last game, Caris LeVert is also listed as doubtful on the injury and is not expected to play tonight. His absence potentially opens up more minutes for Ivey, even if he doesn't end up closing the game.
Tonight's matchup against the Lakers' 23rd-ranked defense should provide plenty of opportunities for Ivey to take advantage. If he plays 20 minutes or more, he should easily clear his points and assists line.
