LPL & LCK DFS Picks (1/23/22) - DraftKings and FanDuel League of Legends Daily Fantasy

Nolan's expert League of Legends (LoL) DFS advice and DraftKings, FanDuel lineup picks for LPL & LCK on 1/23/22. His top LoL value plays and eSports DFS recommendations.

Welcome back to another League of Legends DFS fantasy slate! New rosters are still finding their team synergy, and early split underdogs haven't been as profitable as in splits past. Many of the games yesterday went as expected aside from JDG taking down FPX. In this slate, we get some closer matchups with a few key games to target. Follow the guys on Twitter, @MAVpickems, NvanhareDFS, @ThunderDanDFS, and @mr_malmanger too, if you haven't already. Looking to keep the momentum rolling so let's dive into this five-game slate!

Roster changes will be addressed if need be when mentioning each team.  As a friendly reminder, if you can't stomach any sub risk or don't enjoy waking up early, then figure a way to roster players that don't hold any sub risk. The LCK is tricky when it comes to starting lineups, and we are usually given the LCK starting lineups about an hour or so before lock, for the first series. (@KorizonEsports on Twitter is a good lineup source, as well as @kenzi131) In this case, we probably won't get LCK lineups before the 2:00 AM lock, so we are going to try and project starters based on new additions. LPL starters are found earlier and on Twitter too.

I'll provide my League of Legends DFS advice, analysis, and lineup picks for this LPL & LCK slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 2:00 AM EST on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022. If you have any questions about the slate or anything please reach out to me on Twitter @nolanroth10. I'll do my best to provide some useful analysis, and the odds listed are from Pinnacle. Let's jump right into the matchups, and good luck RotoBallers.

LCK Matches

3:00 AM: LSB (+425) vs. T1 (-700)

Much like yesterday's slate, the LCK matches are much less appealing than the LPL games. LSB is 2-4 this split going up against 6-1 T1. T1 has been dominating teams so far this split, but based on the pricing don't offer a good value. T1 could play this one out slowly taking small advantages around the map and winning after only one big fight. I don't see T1 putting up the kill totals that would make them optimal.

Faker and Gumayusi are dominating the kill share for T1 and would be the two ideal targets in T1 stacks. Oner leads the team in kill participation and should have his way against LSB

Top T1 plays: Faker, Oner, Gumayusi, Keria

5:00 AM: KDF (-165) vs. DRX (+125)

We get a battle of the bottom in this game as KDF is 2-4 and DRX is yet to win a game losing 6 in a row. I am not all that interested in this game however, both teams are cheaply priced which can offer some value.

KDF ADC Teddy is tied for the team lead in KP at 75.5% and leads the team in KS at 39.6%. Teddy is where I would start lineups stacking KDF. Hoit and Fate also both have a KP of 75.5% and stacking up the three of them makes sense.

I need to see DRX show me that they can win before I put any trust in them. Jungler Pyosik has been the carry for the team and support BeryL leads the team with a 77.5% KP

Top KDF plays: Teddy, Hoit, Fate

Top DRX Plays: Pyosik, Beryl, Deft

LPL Matches

2:00 AM: AL (+375) vs. WBG (-600)

The LPL matches are the games we should be looking to target on today's slate. WBG is 5-3 so far this split, AL is 3-7. I like WBG in this spot and we could see a 2-0 in WBG favor.

Huanfeng has a massive 40.6% of the kill share making him a clear captain target. His support ON leads the team in KP. The bot lane is a clear spot to target for WBG.

If taking some GPP shots on AL, Betty and Maple are where I would look to start my lineups. The two of them have combined for 60% of the team's kills.

Top WBG plays: Huanfeng, ON, Angel, SofM

Top AL plays: Betty, Maple

4:00 AM: IG (+325) vs. RNG (-500)

RNG is one of the teams I want to stack, RNG has a more talented team and I expect to see all the lanes have success up against IG. RNG is one of the best team fight teams and this matchup has the potential for RNG to rack up kills.

RNG funnel their kills and gold through mid-laner Xiaohu and ADC Gala. Top laner Bin has a 38% KP and 16% KS, he is the clear option to leave out in 4 man RNG stacks. Gala and Xiaohu both have a 30% KS and Wei is a talented jungler that is great at putting his lanes. ahead. His death count is a little higher than we would hope,  but the meta has plenty of engage junglers which leads to a few extra deaths. RNG has plenty of potential and is one of the top teams to target.

Top RNG plays: Xiaohu, Gala, Wei, Ming

6:00 AM: V5 (+138) vs. TES (-182)

Right away this is the game I wanted to target. I expect this matchup to have the highest kill totals of the 5 games. I like the underdog V5 to take this one in 3 games but if making multiple lineups getting stacks of both sides makes sense. V5 is 4-2 and TES is 4-4, both teams have some talented players on their roster and this should be a fun series to close out the slate.

JackeyLove is always a name that pops when looking to target TES. He leads the team in KP and KS which makes him a clear target. TES has won both series 2-1 since Xiaopeng has been the starting jungler and his KP and KS are both second behind JackeyLove.

V5 is priced great in a matchup that looks to be the bloodiest of the slate. Rookie had a massive game last time out putting up 26 kills in 3 games. Both top laners for V5 have played a series so we need to see lineups before locking in the top lane. Top lane is my least favorite part of a 4 man stack for V5 anyways. Karsa and Photic are the other carries of V5.

Top TES plays: JackeyLove, Xiaopeng, Zhuo

Top V5 plays: Rookie, Karsa, Photic, ppgod

Summary

  1. TLDR: TES/V5 is the game to target, being on the right side of that game gives you a good shot at the cash line. RNG and WBG are good options as well.
  2. GPP Stacks: My favorite combinations for GPP stacks are V5/TES/RNG/KDF
  3. Cash Stacks: For cash, WBG/RNG is the safe play although hard to make work. V5/RNG has more risk but a V5 win puts you in a great spot.

Good luck tomorrow RotoBallers!
