DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 1/4/22 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy college basketball sleepers for 1/4/22. His CBB DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

We are getting into conference play in earnest now with most teams playing their second conference games. We have a big night on tap with 11 games for us to choose from. All but one game are from power five conferences, so we definitely have some names and star power on display tonight. Let's get started!

We begin in Columbia with South Carolina hosting Auburn. We continue a half-hour later with more SEC action with LSU hosting Kentucky and Georgia hosting A&M. We have Minnesota hosting Illinois and Michigan heading to Rutgers as well. Oklahoma heads to Waco to take on the top team. K-State hosts a dangerous Texas team. We have some ACC flavor with Virginia Tech hosting the Wolfpack and Wake hosting Florida State. Seton Hall visits Butler in our only non-power five. We end the night with a SEC nightcap in Fayetteville with the Hogs hosting Vandy. This is a loaded slate!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/4/22 starting at 6:30 pm Eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Dereon Seabron, North Carolina State ($8,500)

Seabron just might be matchup proof. He hung another 50-spot on Florida State while only missing two of his 14 shots from the field on Saturday. The problem here is that Virginia Tech doesn't allow a lot of points. Still, Seabron is active all over the court. He has five double-doubles on the season and his assist numbers have spiked in the first two conference games. Seabron's floor might be the best of any guard, but he doesn't have the highest ceiling against a team like Virginia Tech. He is better for cash games tonight.

JD Notae, Arkansas ($6,600)

Notae has been practicing over the last couple of days after missing the Mississippi State game last week with a non-COVID illness. It seems like he will play. If Notae is at full strength, he's too cheap. Even against a team like Vanderbilt. Notae has at last 25 DraftKings points in every game this season. That's the kind of floor I want in the mid range.

Alfonso Plummer, Illinois ($6,000)

The days of getting a discount on Plummer are over. He has played very well in the absence of Andre Curbelo, scoring at least 23 DraftKings points in nine straight games since Curbelo went down against Kansas State almost six weeks ago. Curbelo isn't expected to be in uniform tonight. I'll take Plummer's floor for this price.

Allen Flanigan, Auburn ($5,400)

Flanigan missed the first 11 games of the season recovering from an Achilles injury, but with his 29 minutes (and 24.5 DraftKings points) against LSU over the weekend, he appears to be ready to take on his customary role. Flanigan averaged 14.3 points per game last season and is a constant double-double threat when healthy. This is a very nice price if he is going to play around 30 minutes again.

Bryce Aiken, Seton Hall ($3,700)

Aiken spurred the team to an upset over Texas and was instrumental in comeback bids against Providence and Villanova that fell just short. Aiken hasn't cracked the starting five yet, but he has played 109 minutes over the last four games, finishing in double digits in each game while racking up 106.25 DraftKings points. That's great value for the price.

Also consider: Alondes Williams, Wake Forest ($8,800); Wendell Green, Auburn ($7,400); Mark Smith, Kansas State ($6,600); Umoja Gibson, Oklahoma ($5,200); Matthew Cleveland, Florida State ($4,200); Devin Carter, South Carolina ($4,100)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Oscar Tshiebwe, Kentucky ($9,900)

Tshiebwe gets an average of 19 DraftKings points per game in rebounds alone. That's just an average! He hauled in 28 rebounds against Western Kentucky just before Christmas and has cleared 20 boards three times already this season. Oh, and he averages 15.8 points per game as well. That's 35 DraftKings points per game as the floor just by hitting his averages in points and rebounds. That doesn't count the solid defensive stats or the double-double bonus. Tshiebwe has a high floor and tremendous upside. He better for nearly five figures.....

Kofi Cockburn, Illinois ($9,000)

Cockburn didn't make his season debut until November 22, but he has at least 33 DraftKings points in every game since his first when he still nearly hit 30. Cockburn isn't quite the defender that Tshiebwe is, but he's a better scorer and has a double-double in seven of his nine games this season. There's enough value at guard out there tonight that you can still build a decent lineup around both Tshiebwe and Cockburn if you choose. If not, Cockburn is the cash play and Tshiebwe is the better GPP option.

Jamison Battle, Minnesota ($6,900)

Battle has at least 30 DraftKings points in each of his last five games. That includes games against both Michigan schools and Mississippi State besides the two cupcakes in mid-December. Battle averages more than 37 minutes per game. That includes two blowout wins in which he played less than 30 minutes. Battle leads the Gophers in scoring and is a good rebounder. He has lots of opportunities to rack up stats when he's on the court that much.

Kario Oquendo, Georgia ($4,900)

Oquendo has been a bargain for much of the season, especially since his clunker against George Mason on December 18. Georgia doesn't really have a star, which leaves a lot of guys on the team to pitch in. Oquendo has scored in double digits in three straight games since a mid-December swoon. The ceiling isn't all that high on Oqendo, but it's plenty high enough for a value play. He's topped 30 DraftKings points a couple of times this year.

Simas Lukosius, Butler ($3,400)

Lukosius has played 57 minutes over the last two games. The freshman finally seems to have his turnover issues under control. The Bulldogs have responded by giving him more playing time. This is a high-risk value play, but his performance in the close win over DePaul on Saturday should mean that he is getting a larger role on the team. If he's going to play around 28 minutes again, Lukosius is a great bargain.

Also consider: Hunter Dickinson, Michigan ($8,400); Jared Rhoten, Seton Hall ($7,900); Timmy Allen, Texas ($7,500); Malik Osborne, Florida State ($6,700); Wildens Leveque, South Carolina ($5,000); Flo Thamba, Baylor ($4,000)
