Week 6 Wide Receiver Rankings Outlooks

Ricky Pearsall, San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee) wasn't spotted at Monday's practice, according to Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group. Although the 49ers didn't hold an official practice on Monday, it's not a great sign that Pearsall isn't on the field after he was inactive for last Thursday night's win over the Los Angeles Rams due to a minor PCL injury that he suffered in Week 4. Both Pearsall and Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) did not play last Thursday, allowing Kendrick Bourne to go off for 10 catches and over 100 yards.

Jennings was on the field on Monday, though, signaling that Jennings might be closer than Pearsall in terms of being available in Week 6 to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If the 25-year-old Pearsall doesn't return to the team's first practice on Wednesday, he'll be on track to miss a second straight game.

Darius Slayton, New York Giants

New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant in practice on Monday's injury report. Slayton left late in New York's Week 5 loss to the New Orleans Saints with a hamstring injury and did not return. The Giants have a short week in Week 6 as they prepare to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night, so it could be tough for Slayton to recover in time to play.

The 28-year-old recorded three catches for 31 yards on six targets before getting hurt in New York's first full game without star wideout Malik Nabers (knee). If Slayton is sidelined for Week 6, Giants wide receivers Wan'Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt would likely see an uptick in targets.

Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans

Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan said that the team has to "keep finding ways to use" wide receiver Calvin Ridley's skill set, according to Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com. "He played well for us down the stretch on Sunday, and we're going to need that to continue ... We protected well, too, which helped," Callahan added. After a quiet start to the season through four weeks that saw Ridley go over 50 yards just once in a single game with no touchdowns, he broke out in Sunday's upset win over the Arizona Cardinals for a 5-131-0 line on a season-high 10 targets. The 30-year-old still hasn't scored in 2025, but his Week 5 performance was a breath of fresh air for his fantasy managers.

Hopefully, his down-the-field chemistry with rookie quarterback Cameron Ward continues to improve, but even if it does, there are going to be more frustrating outings. He'll have a good matchup to keep things going in a Week 6 contest against the one-win Las Vegas Raiders.

Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers

According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) was suited up for Monday's practice and had his helmet in his hand for the five minutes that were open to the media. The 49ers didn't have an official practice on Monday, but it's a good sign to see Jennings back on the field early in the week after he was inactive in last Thursday night's win over the Los Angeles Rams. Fellow wideout Ricky Pearsall (knee) also missed Week 5, allowing Kendrick Bourne to catch 10 passes and go over 100 receiving yards in the upset win on the road.

The 28-year-old Jennings has already missed two games in 2025 and has essentially been banged up since organized team activities back in the spring. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to play in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but if he does, he'll be a pretty shaky WR4/flex for fantasy managers, especially if quarterback Brock Purdy (toe) misses another game.

Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders

Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said the team is "optimistic" about getting wide receiver Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) back for their Week 6 tilt against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post. Fantasy managers have to be happy with this news, but they shouldn't get their hopes up that Scary Terry will be back this week after missing the last two games with a pretty serious quad injury that led him to seek multiple medical opinions.

Quinn said the team will know more later in the week about McLaurin's status for next Monday night. The Commanders will officially resume practicing on Thursday, so fantasy managers will want to check back then to see if he's back on the practice field. When McLaurin returns, he and Deebo Samuel Sr. should dominate pass-game targets from quarterback Jayden Daniels.
