Fantasy Basketball Category Streamers for Week 12: Herbert Jones, Nicolas Claxton, Malik Monk, Otto Porter Jr.

NBA fantasy baseball streamers waiver wire pickups

Week 12 fantasy basketball streamers based on H2H 9-category leagues for the 2021-2022 NBA season. Keith Cork recommends guards, forwards, and centers to target through waivers or free agency in fantasy leagues who may help in specific categories.

Hope everyone had a fantastic holiday season, but I'm back and ready to keep kicking butt in fantasy basketball. We're getting into the true grind of the season where things get kind of boring and predictable, only we're dealing with COVID so nothing is like that ever. Still, there should be value to have here in our Category Streamers article!!

The Memphis Grizzlies have five games this week, so we'll want to snag all those players. 18 teams have four games though, so pretty much everyone is fair game. The remaining 11 teams have three games this week.

Our staff at RotoBaller has great insight and daily columns on how to improve your squad and tips to make your team successful, so be sure to check them out. Now, let's get prepared for the upcoming week and go win your leagues. All players in this article are rostered at 50 percent or less.

Week 12 Standard 9-Category Leagues

Columns are written based on H2H 9-category standard size leagues:

FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE

Nicolas Claxton - C - Brooklyn Nets (46% rostered)

Nicolas Claxton is beyond a streamer honestly, but since he's under 50% rostered he qualifies for this list. Run out and snatch him up and hope he sticks in his 25-30 minute role. He has put up 5th round value per game over the past week. He's a career 62% shooter, which is sure to help any team in the field goal percentage arena.

Other streamers:

  • Gary Payton II - PG/SG - Golden State Warriors (21% rostered)
  • Guillermo Hernangómez - C - New Orleans Pelicans (9% rostered)
  • KJ Martin - SF - Houston Rockets (5% rostered)
  • Terance Mann - SG/SF - Los Angeles Clippers (42% rostered)
  • Daniel Theis - PF/C - Houston Rockets (13% rostered)

FREE THROW PERCENTAGE

Terrence Ross - SG/SF - Orlando Magic (26% rostered)

It's always a bit of a crapshoot rostering veterans on bad teams, but Terrence Ross returned from a seven-game absence in a big way. If you're truly looking for someone that can help you from the line, Ross is a nice guy to look at since he gets there with some frequency and hits it at an 84% clip for his career.

Other streamers:

POINTS

Malik Monk - PG/SG - Los Angeles Lakers (43% rostered)

As the Lakers wait for the return of Anthony Davis, it's going to take a full team effort to make up for his absence. Malik Monk has taken on a huge scoring load over the last four or five games, and he's averaging just under 20 points per game over the past week (not including the game against the Timberwolves which is being played right now.) He's putting up enough satellite stats right now to warrant a stream until he cools off. The Lakers only have three games this week, but in terms of per-game output, you won't be able to beat Monk.

Other streamers:

THREE-POINTERS

Garrett Temple - PG/SG/SF - New Orleans Pelicans (8% rostered)

Despite playing 25+ minutes in three straight games, Garrett Temple is still only rostered in 8% of leagues. He's a great streaming option while the Pelicans are without many of their backcourt options due to injuries and the league's health and safety protocols. He's averaging a shade under four three-pointers per game for the Pels over the past week and that should continue for at least a few more games.

Other streamers:

  • Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - PG/SG/SF - Washington Wizards (33% rostered)
  • Georges Niang - SF/PF - Philadelphia 76ers (5% rostered)
  • Coby White - PG/SG - Chicago Bulls (39% rostered)
  • Cam Reddish - SG/SF - Atlanta Hawks (45% rostered)
  • Reggie Bullock - SG/SF - Dallas Mavericks (3% rostered)

REBOUNDS

Luka Garza - C - Detroit Pistons (3% rostered)

Luka Garza has been on a tear the last three games, averaging 14.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. Isaiah Stewart or Trey Lyles could return any day to really rain on his parade, but Luka is worth rostering until that time comes.

Other streamers:

  • Damian Jones - C - Sacramento Kings (4% rostered)
  • Nicolas Claxton - C - Brooklyn Nets (46% rostered)
  • David Nwaba - SG/SF - Houston Rockets (1% rostered)
  • Nassir Little - SF - Portland Trail Blazers (15% rostered)
  • Taj Gibson - PF/C - New York Knicks (2% rostered)

ASSISTS

Facundo Campazzo - PG - Denver Nuggets (19% rostered)

This is Facundo Campazzo's second week in a row topping this list, and he's not going anywhere anytime soon. On a 4-game week, it's in your best interest to snap him up and see if he can keep his hot streak going. As long as Monte Morris is ou, he should be in line for enough run to make it worth your while.

Other streamers:

STEALS

Otto Porter Jr. - SF/PF - Golden State Warriors (36% rostered)

Draymond Green is in the league's health and safety protocols, which should lock Otto Porter Jr. into a big enough role to warrant a roster spot for the next week. OPJ put up an absolute gem of a line with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists in their last game against the Jazz. He also grabbed three steals, which he has done in two straight games now. Stream away for the next week.

Other streamers:

  • Facundo Campazzo - PG - Denver Nuggets (19% rostered)
  • Cam Reddish - SG/SF - Atlanta Hawks (45% rostered)
  • Matisse Thybulle - SG/SF - Philadelphia 76ers (35% rostered)
  • Justin Holiday - SG/SF - Indiana Pacers (27% rostered)
  • Patrick Beverley - PG/SG - Minnesota Timberwolves (32% rostered)

BLOCKS

Herbert Jones - SF/PF - New Orleans Pelicans (36% rostered)

You're in a league where Herb Jones is available? Stop what you're doing and go scoop them up. Don't wait! This guy has been incredible over the past few weeks, averaging 2.3 blocks and 1.3 steals per game while also contributing 18.3 points per game. He's a MUST ADD right now, though he'll surely take a hit when some of the Pelicans guys get back into the rotation. Without much to play for this season though they may turn to him more and more, so he could be a decent stash as well.

Other streamers:

  • Nicolas Claxton - C - Brooklyn Nets (46% rostered)
  • Nassir Little - SF - Portland Trail Blazers (15% rostered)
  • Matisse Thybulle - SG/SF - Philadelphia 76ers (35% rostered)
  • Serge Ibaka - PF/C - Los Angeles Clippers (8% rostered)
