DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (8/10/16): MLB DFS Advice

Afternoon baseball is on the ticket for Wednesday, with three games starting before the traditional evening slate. There are not many pitching aces stand out today when looking at the probable starters, so picking the best matchups will be a big key.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/10/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings. The following targets have been selected for all day contests on DraftKings.

Editor's Note: RotoBaller offers the best Premium MLB Subscription - only $14.99 for the rest of season (plus playoffs), or less than 25 cents a day. DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Tampa Bay Rays vs. J.A. Happ  (LHP)

Normally not given much consideration for a lineup stack, the Rays actually make a lot of sense today. For starters, Tampa boasts a lineup that's heavy with right-handers that will face lefty J.A. Happ. Also playing in the favor of the Rays is the fact that they hold an overall lifetime average of .336 against Happ. Tampa has already defeated him twice this season and torched him for eight runs in just two innings back on May 16. Tim Beckham had a homer in that game and should be used today. Fellow righties Logan Forsythe, Evan Longoria, and Steven Souza Jr. also need to be in your Tampa stack today.

Boston Red Sox vs. Nathan Eovaldi (RHP)

Current Boston hitters have a good history against opposing starter Nathan Eovaldi, racking up a lifetime average of .343 with five home runs. The Red Sox have beaten Eovaldi twice this year and will be looking to do the same today. Lefties Travis Shaw, David Ortiz, Brock Holt, and Jackie Bradley Jr. are all great stacking options today. Rookie Andrew Benintendi has pounded right-handed pitching so far and is also a solid option.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Drew Pomeranz, BOS vs. NYY - $9,100

Pomeranz has yet to pick up a win and has struggled a bit since his move to Boston, giving up five runs in two of his first four starts in the American League. However, he did pitch well against the Yankees earlier this year as a member of the Padres. Back on July 2 he gave up just one run and struck out eight in seven innings of work while holding New York hitters to an average of just .176. Pitching for a team with the best offense in the league, Pomeeranz has a good chance to pick up a win today.

Jason Hammel, CHC vs. LAA - $8,000

Hammel enters today with wins in each of his last four games, having not allowed more than two runs since getting shelled for 10 against the Mets on July 1. He likely won't get you a lot of strike outs, but a low amount of earned runs paired with a great offense makes Hammel a good candidate for a starter in daily leagues today.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Cameron Rupp, PHI at LAD - $3,900

Rupp should be in the lineup today with the Phillies facing a lefty. Rupp has pounded left-handed pitching to the tune of .352 with four home runs this season. He's hitting over .300 for the month of August and has three multi-hit performances in the last five games. From a daily fantasy perspective, Rupp has put up double-digit performances in five of the last seven games.

First Base (1B)

David Freese, PIT vs. SD - $3,600

Not only has Freese put up a contact rate over 95 percent in the last week, but he's also gotten on base with hits in five of his last seven games. He's available for a decent price and has earned fantasy owners an average of 6.7 points this season. Despite the solid production for a good price, his ownership could be down due to his lifetime .182 average against opposing starter Edwin Jackson. With the fact that he's been making a lot of contact recently and qualifies for both third and first base, Freese is a smart tournament play today.

Second Base (2B)

Ian Kinsler, DET at SEA - $4,100

Kinsler enters today with an eight-game hit streak that includes five multi-hit performances. He has recorded at least 11 fantasy points in four of the last six games and is averaging 9.3 fantasy points a game this season. Although he has a lifetime average of just .238 versus today's starter Felix Hernandez, he does have four home runs and eight RBI against him. Kinsler has been one of the best fantasy second basemen all season and is currently riding another hot streak.

Shortstop (SS)

Brandon Crawford, SF at MIA - $5,100

Crawford is no longer a sleeper pick, as he's turned into one of the best shortstops available this season. He'll cost you a good chunk of your cap space, but he's been hot lately and just had a seven-hit game Monday. His contact rate has risen nearly 10 points over the last week and he's 1-for-2 lifetime against opposing starter David Phelps.

Third Base (3B)

Evan Longoria, TB at TOR - $4,000

Longoria has faced opposing starter J.A. Happ more than anyone else on Tampa and has 10 hits in 26 at-bats with a home run. He's been up and down this season but does have two home runs over the last week and racked up three hits on Tuesday. Longoria is hitting .280 against lefties this year and makes for a sneaky play today at third base.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Billy Hamilton, CIN at STL - $4,100

Hamilton is a great daily fantasy commodity primarily due to his legs and the ability to steal bases. However, there's an added bonus today, as he's got a career .429 average against opposing starter Jaime Garcia. Hamilton goes in spurts with his hitting, but when he does get on base he's a threat to steal every time. He's got nine stolen bases in the last three games, including three Tuesday night, and makes for a solid play today.

Travis Jankowski, SD at PIT- $4,800

Jankowski has seen his price tag skyrocket in recent weeks and enters today with an eight-game hit streak and an average of nearly 16 fantasy points a game over the last week. He's worth taking today in spite of the high price thanks to the production he'll likely provide. Jankowski is hitting .304 against righties, and that's what he'll face today in Ryan Vogelsong.

Melky Cabrera, CWS at KC - $3,200

Cabrera is available for a great price today considering the fact that he's hitting over .300 for the season and has a lifetime .417 average and two home runs against opposing starter Ian Kennedy. With the right-hander on the mound, Cabrera will be batting as a lefty today. He's hitting .292 with seven home runs as a left-handed hitter this season. With an average of over seven fantasy points a game, Cabrera is a great value pick today.
