NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel DFS Basketball Advice for 11/22/15

The best part about playing daily fantasy basketball on Sunday is that most people are worried about their football lineups. Sometimes, there are some very winnable leagues as well as some excellent overlay opportunities.

Here are my picks for FanDuel plays for Sunday, November 22, 2015. These picks are intended for cash game and double-up games.

As always, make sure to check the lineups before the game to make sure everyone is healthy and not considered a dreaded “DND.”

FanDuel Point Guards

Russell Westbrook, OKC - $11,900 & Steph Curry, GS - $11,100

Wouldn’t it be super awesome if you could fit BOTH of these studs in your lineup? Well, you can’t. Pick one. I am okay with Westbrook, especially if Kevin Durant is out, but Curry has the better matchup against Emmanuel Mudiay and the Denver Nuggets. It’s getting to the point where one of these guys has to take up a roster spot, so make it so.

Brandon Knight, PHO - $8,000

Knight has dropped at least 61 FDP in two of his last three outings. Of course, those meetings were against the lackluster Lakers and mediocre Nuggets, teams that aren’t necessarily known for their defensive prowess. The Phoenix guard looks to continue his hot trend against arguably an even worse defense in the Pelicans. He is the sixth most expensive point guard on the slate, but has upside to actually be the highest scorer.

FanDuel Shooting Guards

Eric Bledsoe, PHO - $8,400

It’s looking more and more like Knight and Bledsoe are going to make a ton of these lists throughout the season. The former Kentucky Wildcats are seeing insane usage numbers this season- 27.1% for Knight while Bledsoe is seeing a 28.2% rate. The Suns’ starting back court has a combined stat line of 45.7 PPG, 8.8 RPG, 10.8A APG, 3.5 SPG and 1.1 BPG. And after a month or so of playing time, the Suns are back at playing as one of the highest tempo teams in the league.

Avery Bradley, BOS - $5,800

Since his return on November 15, Bradley has recorded 24.4, 25.2, 35.7 and 28.6 FDP in his four games, respectively. He has played at least 20 minutes off the bench, but has not played over 31 during that span. Head coach Brad Stevens has hinted that he would like Bradley to return to the starting lineup to replace Isaiah Thomas. FanDuel players agree. Especially at this absurdly low price.

FanDuel Small Forwards

Danilo Gallinari, DEN - $7,000

With per game averages of 18 points, 5.5 boards and 2.5 assists, Gallinari is one of the more safer players at the small forward position for Sunday. He has a tough matchup against the defensively efficient Warriors, but he did drop 25/2/1 in their first in early November. Ideally he stuffs the stat sheet a little more in the other categories, but the Italian looks completely healthy and has solidified his role as Denver’s primary scoring threat.

Al-Farouq Aminu, POR - $6,000

Aminu is an extremely streaky player in which his solid games come in bunches of three, while he usually will then play below average for three games. It’s true. Look up his game log. Sunday is game three for Aminu of a good streak. Plus he gets the Lakers. There really isn’t anyone on the Lakers that is able to defend the swing position effectively. The only downside in giving Aminu a roster slot is the insanely strong potential that he is heavily owned in all contests.

FanDuel Power Forwards

Thaddeus Young, BKN - $6,400

Am I missing something here? Over his last ten games, dude has reached at least 23.3 FDP while averaging 32.95 FDP during that span. His one 23.3 game? He only played 22 minutes due to some early foul trouble. This guy has been a rock of stability for an otherwise terrible Brooklyn team. The best part is his price has stayed this low. Young is quite possibly the safest pick of any position of the night.

Luis Scola, TOR - $4,400

Make no mistake. This pick is all about value and upside. It goes without saying, but I will mention it anyway, that Scola is a GPP/Tourney pick at best. That being said, Scola offers amazing potential given the injury to Jonas Valanciunas. There is really no other potential big man that can fill the interior void for the Raptors. Scola is worth a flier.

FanDuel Centers

Mason Plumlee, POR - $5,700

The center position is looking really, really weak on Sunday. DeAndre Jordan and Brook Lopez are the clear frontrunners, but they are a bit expensive compared to their value for Sunday. So, Sunday seems like a good day to utilize that tried-and-true strategy of picking on the Lakers. LA has been quite forgiving to opposing big men, especially forwards/centers that are rather pedestrian. Plumlee fits that category and more. He has played at least 29 minutes in three straight games and has double-double potential. Both the Blazers and the Lakers play at a somewhat up-tempo pace while sometimes opting out of playing defense. This game should be rather close and somewhat high scoring.
