Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson remains a strong fantasy option entering Sunday's Week 7 matchup against Detroit. Watson only caught three of eight targets for 64 yards against Dallas last week, but he still leads Green Bay with 538 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 29 receptions through six games.
His 18.6-yard average highlights the big-play ability that makes him dangerous against a Detroit defense allowing an NFL-high 297.4 passing yards per game. Watson has recorded 25 receptions for 478 yards and three touchdowns in seven career meetings with Detroit. However, Detroit leads the NFL with 20 sacks, and consistent pressure could limit Watson's downfield opportunities.
Watson (ankle) remained limited in practice all week but has no injury designation for Sunday, and head coach Matt LaFleur expressed no concern about his availability. RotoBaller ranks Watson WR7 for Week 7. His established scoring production and favorable matchup make him a must-start WR1 with considerable upside.
Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos
Despite decent usage early in the year, Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has topped 25 receiving yards only once, and he's now seen just three targets in back-to-back games.
With the Broncos offense struggling through six weeks, Sutton ranks as the fantasy WR78, and the red-zone opportunities that have elevated his value in recent years have all but dried up. This year, he's seen only five red zone targets and has come down with only two catches and one touchdown.
Heading into what should be a favorable Week 7 matchup with the Cardinals, Sutton is RotoBaller's WR44 and best left on the bench wherever possible.
Chris Godwin Jr., Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. is expected to see an increased usage during this weekend's Week 7 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Fellow wideout Emeka Egbuka (foot, concussion) has been ruled out ahead of this contest.
His absence means that Godwin will take over as the top wideout for Sunday's game. Godwin hasn't been much of a fantasy option this season, but quarterback Baker Mayfield (thumb) is making his return to the field this weekend. The expectation is that Godwin will see a higher target share and increased value with Mayfield back under center.
The veteran wideout hasn't given fantasy managers much reason to trust him, but they might be able to plug him in as a flex option this weekend.
Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams responded, "probably because I'm not out there," when asked about his team's lack of drive-to-drive consistency on offense following its Week 6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, per Adam Grosbard of the Los Angeles Daily News. Williams recorded 10 carries for 50 yards and hauled in three catches for 17 yards on six targets against Arizona.
Williams has been the Rams' clear RB1 through the early portion of the season, but Rams RB2 Blake Corum logged just two fewer touches than him in Week 6. Williams may have a point if he's agitating for a larger workload, as he's been very productive so far this season. Across six games in 2026, the 26-year-old has recorded 610 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns on 110 touches.
It's unclear how Williams' statements will impact his usage going forward, but the 2-4 Rams are struggling far more than they were expected to before the start of the year.
Caleb Douglas, Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley said that rookie wide receiver Caleb Douglas (ankle) will play in Week 7 against the New York Jets, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. Douglas has been on Injured Reserve since Week 2 due to an ankle injury but is now set to make his return against New York. The 23-year-old got off to an encouraging start before suffering the injury, recording seven catches for 113 yards on 10 targets across two games.
The Dolphins' passing game has been highly ineffective so far this season, which makes Douglas tough for fantasy managers to trust. Still, the rookie wideout has a chance to emerge as Miami's clear WR1 now that he's healthy. In deeper fantasy leagues, Douglas could be worth a dart throw as a flex option in Week 7 against the Jets.
