Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 5:
Kalif Raymond, Chicago Bears
After leading the team in receiving through the first three games of the season, Chicago Bears wide receiver Kalif Raymond came back to earth in a Week 4 win over the New York Jets, catching only two passes for six yards. With the Bears' passing offense looking more like what fantasy managers expected and finally running through Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, and Colston Loveland, Raymond is likely to hit waiver wires in many leagues.
Outside of the deepest formats, he does not need to be viewed as a priority target or even a hold. Raymond has had fantasy-relevant stretches in the past, but has never proven to be a trustworthy every-week starter, and without an injury ahead of him on the depth chart, he is unlikely to consistently see the type of unexpected volume with which he opened the year.
D'Andre Swift, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (hip, knee) has no injury designation for Sunday's game against Green Bay, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Swift missed Wednesday's practice before returning on a limited basis Thursday, and he'll now head into Week 5 with a much clearer path to touches. Kyle Monangai (toe) has been ruled out after rushing for 146 yards and two touchdowns against the Jets last week. Swift lost a fumble in the third quarter of that game and didn't receive another touch, finishing with 58 yards on 15 carries.
He's now lost two fumbles this season, although he's still produced 311 rushing yards and three touchdowns through four games while adding 10 catches for 84 yards. With Monangai sidelined, Swift should handle most of Chicago's backfield work against the Packers, with Roschon Johnson likely spelling him. He has RB1 upside this week, particularly if the Bears lean heavily on the running game again.
Aaron Jones Sr., Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. was seemingly phased out of a high-volume role last year, but he has bounced back as an every-down option out of the backfield this season. An early-season injury to Jordan Mason (hand) thrust Jones into the lead-back role, and he has averaged a whopping 23 touches per game in three weeks since then. He has been heavily featured on the ground, but he has also taken on an enormous role in the passing game with 14 targets over his last two contests.
The 31-year-old is enjoying a volume-based career resurgence, putting him firmly back on the fantasy radar as an RB2 for as long as Mason remains sidelined. Jones will remain a borderline must-start in this week's game against the Saints before heading on to his bye week.
Malachi Fields, New York Giants
New York Giants rookie third-round wide receiver Malachi Fields was a popular late-round flier in deeper fantasy leagues going into his first year in the NFL, with fellow wideout Malik Nabers (knee) entering the 2026 season coming off a torn ACL in 2025. The 23-year-old has caught exactly two passes in each of his first four games in the league on 15 targets for 126 yards and his first career touchdown reception, which came in the Week 4 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
There is a lot to like about the Notre Dame product in the long term, but as New York's WR3 behind Nabers and veteran Darnell Mooney, consistent fantasy production might be hard to come by. Additionally, starting quarterback Jaxson Dart (knee) is out for the year, so the Giants are down to veteran Jameis Winston and J.J. McCarthy at the position. Fields' upside makes him a worthwhile stash in deeper fantasy leagues, and he could potentially have WR2 upside if Nabers or Mooney miss any time with an injury. Fields is rostered in 7% of Yahoo leagues, so he is widely available.
KC Concepcion, Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion Jr. has seen his snap share grow in each of the last two weeks, and he played an impressive 92% of the snaps in last week's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He now has 17 targets over his last two games, and he produced a respectable five catches for 64 yards against Pittsburgh. The first-round rookie has lived up to all of the pre-draft hype so far. Not every rookie can ascend into a large role right away, but Concepcion has wasted no time making an impact in this Cleveland offense.
The only glaring issue so far has been his catch rate, as he has hauled in just 60.1% of his targets. However, that could be attributed to the quarterback play, and it's also worth noting this rate has started to bounce back ever since an abnormally quiet Week 3 showing. All in all, we're excited about the fantasy outlook for Concepcion, especially with the Browns at 3-1 and playing good football on offense. For now, Concepcion is a low-end fantasy WR2, but he has clear high-end WR2 or low-end WR1 upside this year.
