8 Fantasy Baseball Risers and Fallers - Willy Adames, Reid Detmers, Sal Stewart, More

Willy Adames - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Waiver Wire Targets

Kipp's fantasy baseball risers, fallers, breakouts for Week 11 of 2026. He analyzes hitters and pitchers performing well and poorly to determine future values.

Welcome, everyone, to another edition of RotoBaller’s Fantasy Baseball Risers and Fallers article series for Week 11 of the 2026 season! Today, I'll check in on players like Willy Adames, Reid Detmers, Sal Stewart, and more.

Keeping up with the latest hitter and pitcher trends is a key component of a successful season, and RotoBaller is here to help fantasy managers! Each week, I will select a few players who have performed well recently and a few who have not, and I will analyze their performances to determine how their future outcomes may be affected.

Following along here every week will give you an edge over your league mates and keep you up to date on who is firing on all cylinders and who is struggling to make ends meet. Every game makes an impact, and there is no time to wait for regression. Let's get into some Fantasy Risers and Fallers who may force some tough decisions.

Fantasy Baseball Hitter Risers

Jeremy Pena, SS, Houston Astros

I regret dropping Jeremy Pena when he hit the IL, as he has been on an absolute tear since his return in the middle of May. Over the previous two weeks, he has been slashing .396/.473/.646 with three HR, 11 RBI, 16 R, and two SB. Additionally, he has posted just an 11% K rate over this span.

The metrics do not qualify for Statcast just yet, but his xwOBA (.375), xBA (.329), and xSLG (.474) are all looking very solid and trending in the right direction. This Astros lineup has also started to heat up since his return, posting a 100 wRC+ mark since May 15th, which ranks them in the top half of the league over that span.

Over the previous two weeks, Pena ranks fifth overall in Yahoo! leagues, and while he may not be able to sustain this level of production for the remainder of the season, he should still be a very reliable shortstop moving forward.

Willy Adames, SS, San Francisco Giants

We have another rising shortstop on this list with Adames, as he ranks seventh overall in Yahoo! leagues over the previous two weeks. Over that span, he has been slashing .300/.379/.720 with five HR, 12 RBI, 13 R, and seven BB. Quite frankly, he has been an absolute stat stuffer.

He is one of the key reasons behind the fact that the Giants rank first in baseball over the previous two weeks in wRC+, with a mark of 148. This was not entirely expected, but he was quite dreadful to begin the season, and now has settled back into a pace we would expect, given the fact that he has 30+ home runs in each of the previous two seasons.

Look for Adames to continue solid production this season, and enjoy what we have seen over the previous two-plus weeks.

Fantasy Baseball Pitcher Risers

Jhoan Duran, Philadelphia Phillies

It is not often that relievers get included in this piece, so it is definitely worth noting when they do. Duran has been lights out over the previous two weeks, posting a 0.00 ERA, .17 WHIP, and 10 Ks across six IP. He has been as lights out of a closer as you could expect, and has racked up six saves over those two weeks.

This has been good enough to rank him 11th overall in Yahoo! leagues. The metrics tell us he has a .186 xBA and a 2.18 xERA. The Phillies should continue to be in competitive games, which means he should see a ton of save opportunities moving forward.

I would expect him to remain one of the top closers in fantasy baseball the remainder of the season.

Reid Detmers, Los Angeles Angels

Detmers has been a common focal point for strikeout props in the RotoBaller Discord chat and has been extremely good over the previous two weeks. Over that span, he has posted a 1.89 ERA, 0.68 WHIP, and 27 strikeouts across 19 IP. What is even more incredible is that he has racked up just one win over that span and still ranks 16th in Yahoo! leagues.

That explains just how good his strikeout stuff has been. The metrics show us that he ranks in the 88th percentile for K rate, which is a direct result of his 29.7% whiff rate. Detmers is only 26 years old, so we could be seeing the beginning of his transformation into a dominant starter right before our eyes.

I am going to go out on a limb and say he could be a top-75 pitcher down the stretch, because he has looked that good lately. He will have some bumps along the way to be sure, and he may not rack up a ton of wins based on the Angels' performance overall, but he should make fantasy managers pleased to have drafted him.

Fantasy Baseball Hitter Fallers

Sal Stewart, 1B/2B/3B, Cincinnati Reds

Stewart began the season on absolute fire, but has tapered off quite a bit recently. Over the previous two weeks, he has been slashing .262/.340/.357 with zero HR, two RBI, three R, and four BB. Additionally, he has posted a 30% K rate over this span, which is well above his season mark of 21%.

I would not worry too much about Stewart, as he is still hitting for average and getting on base; it is just that the counting stats are not coming in at the moment. His metrics still look solid, as he ranks in the 75th percentile or better in xwOBA, xSLG, average exit velocity, and barrel rate.

Stewart is a versatile fantasy player, as he is eligible all across the infield except for shortstop, and I would expect him to return to normal production soon.

Austin Riley, 3B, Atlanta Braves

Austin Riley has had an up-and-down season thus far, as he has been rising and falling on a regular basis. Unfortunately, he is currently falling, as he has been slashing just .179/.283/.282 with zero HR, three RBI, four R, and five BB over the previous two weeks. This slump ranks him 625th overall in Yahoo! leagues.

While I am still not too worried about Riley, fantasy managers have to be frustrated with his production recently. The metrics tell us he still ranks in the 69th percentile or better in average exit velocity, hard hit rate, and bat speed, so the power number should progress.

Again, Riley has not been what most expected this season, myself included, as I was rather high on him coming into the season. That being said, he should start to turn it around again here soon.

Fantasy Baseball Pitcher Fallers

Davis Martin, Chicago White Sox

Davis Martin is another pitcher we have been high on for strikeout props in the RotoBaller Discord, but he has started to struggle quite a bit recently. Over the previous two weeks, he has posted an ugly 5.91 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, and just seven strikeouts across 10 IP. While it is nice he racked up a win over that span, he still ranks 572nd in Yahoo! leagues.

This is a far cry from what we saw through the first month and a half of the season. The strikeout metrics still look solid, however, as he ranks in the 89th percentile with a 35.2% chase rate. Additionally, he still has a 27.8% whiff rate and 25.3% K rate, both at or near the 70th percentile.

He should continue to get a ton of run support from a strong White Sox lineup, but his ERA may float a bit higher than we would like at times. To be clear, he will be serviceable, but what we saw in April and early May may have been a bit over his head.

Nathan Eovaldi, Texas Rangers

Nathan Eovaldi should be fine for the remainder of the season, but he needs to be mentioned here as the previous weeks have been rather forgettable. Over that span, he has posted a 6.23 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and 13 Ks across 13 IP. Additionally, he has not collected any wins over that span.

This is bad enough to rank him 612th in Yahoo! leagues after beginning the season ranked 79th overall. On the season, Eovaldi still carries a 4.10 ERA and 1.18 WHIP, so the previous two weeks have not derailed him entirely. The strikeout stuff is still there, as he ranks in the 89th percentile or better in both chase rate and whiff rate.

Look for him to turn it around in the near future.
