Michael Carter Set for Expanded Role vs. the Rams in Week 14
Arizona Cardinals running back Michael Carter has made his hay as a productive pass-catcher out of the backfield this season. Cater has seen at least five targets in four of his last seven games this year. The 26-year-old will remain the RB2 in the Cardinals offense with Trey Benson (knee) and Emari Demercado (ankle) being ruled out for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams. Heading into Week 14, the Rams' defense has allowed the fewest rushing touchdowns and the second-fewest carries over 20 yards this season. Despite a tough matchup on the ground, there is a path for Carter to stay fantasy viable through the passing game. The Cardinals will be without wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) and Greg Dortch (chest) on Sunday, and this could lead to more targets out of the backfield for the sure-handed veteran. Cater will remain a risky flex option in deeper leagues going into a vital Week 14 for fantasy managers.
