Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups - Chris Rodriguez Jr., Brashard Smith, Blake Corum Fantasy Football Outlooks

Chris Rodriguez Jr. - Fantasy Football Rankings, Running Back Sleepers, RB Handcuffs

Week 11 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Chris Rodriguez Jr., Brashard Smith, Blake Corum in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.

Week 10 of the NFL season featured several explosive performances from the league's elite running backs. Three of the four highest-scoring fantasy performances of the year came in Week 10, with Jonathan Taylor nearly scoring 50 PPR points, De'Von Achane clearing 40, and Jahmyr Gibbs posting 38.2.

Running backs off the waiver wire are typically less likely to have that sort of weekly upside, except for Rico Dowdle, who has had an incredible year. In this article, we'll evaluate whether three committee backs: Chris Rodriguez Jr., Brashard Smith, and Blake Corum, are worth adding off the waiver wire.

So, should you pick up Rodriguez, Smith, or Corum in your fantasy football leagues for Week 11 of 2025? Let's dive in.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Chris Rodriguez Jr. Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 2.4% of ESPN Leagues

Baller Move: Add in All Leagues

Rodriguez started at running back for Washington in their Week 10 matchup after being named a team captain earlier in the week. The third-year back out of Kentucky overtook rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt as the lead back, playing 72% of the snaps in the first half to Croskey-Merritt's 16%. Rodriguez wound up leaving early due to a shoulder injury, but finished with six carries for 16 yards and his third touchdown of the season.

The 25-year-old is a physical, downhill runner who consistently gains the yardage that his blockers create and excels after contact. Out of 50 running backs with at least 45 carries this season, Rodriguez ranks second in yards after contact per attempt (3.13), only behind Javonte Williams, per Fantasy Points Data Suite. The 2023 sixth-round pick is one of only four backs to be above 3.00 in this metric, along with Williams, Brian Robinson Jr., and Bijan Robinson.

Offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury sang Rodriguez's praises last week, saying that he did an excellent job of taking what's blocked and that "he's played at a high level" every time his number is called. Rodriguez doesn't have the explosiveness or breakaway speed of Croskey-Merritt, but he entered training camp in better shape this season with a focus on his speed. Rodriguez said during training camp that he hit 20 miles per hour "maybe three times" all of last year, but hit that mark more times already during training camp this season.

That's backed up by his in-game performance, hitting a 40-yard run during Week 2 of the preseason and then popping a 48-yard run in Week 4 against the Falcons. Rodriguez's longest run of his career before that was 25 yards. He should be in line to make another start and handle most of the early down work as Washington travels to Madrid to face the Miami Dolphins in Week 11, a defense that has allowed the third most rushing yards in the league. Rodriguez is worth an add in all leagues as the potential lead back moving forward, in addition to a favorable rest of season schedule.

Brashard Smith Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 7% of ESPN Leagues

Baller Move: Add in 12-Team PPR Leagues

Smith didn't see the boost in snaps as some had hoped in Kansas City's Week 9 loss to the Buffalo Bills, with Isiah Pacheco (knee) out. After playing a season-high 36.4% snaps with 19 touches in Week 7 versus the Raiders, Smith dipped down to 13.4% in Week 8 and then 17.5% in Week 9 as they leaned more into the veteran Kareem Hunt.

Most of his 14 carries in Week 7 came during garbage time, but all five of his receptions in that game came when the Chiefs were running their normal offense and making a concerted effort to get the ball in his hands. The rookie seventh-rounder is a dynamic weapon that Andy Reid has expressed the desire to get more involved, but we've yet to see what that looks like in its full form.

Now that the bye week has passed, it could be the time when we see the rookies' snaps go up. Pacheco's status is still very much in question, and Hunt is just not a dynamic enough player to justify an 80% snap share at this stage of his career. Smith is capable of filling the Jerick McKinnon role in the Chiefs' offense that proved to be quite fruitful for fantasy purposes down the stretch of the 2022 season.

Over the final six games of the 2022 season, McKinnon averaged 20.8 PPR points per game, second most among running backs in that span. He led the position with 274 receiving yards and caught a ridiculous eight touchdowns in that six-game stretch. The Chiefs' offensive environment is much different now with more capable options, but Smith has that sort of dynamic skillset to be very interesting down the stretch. Smith is worth adding and holding in PPR leagues to see what the role looks like out of the bye week.

Blake Corum Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 8.5% of ESPN Leagues

Baller Move: Add in All leagues

Corum is one of the most valuable handcuffs in fantasy football and has also shown that he may have some standalone value in recent weeks. Kyren Williams is still the clear most valuable back for the Rams as he handles nearly all of the goal line and receiving work, but Corum has been much more involved of late.

The second-year back has recorded exactly 13 touches in each of the past three games, compared to Williams at 55. The scoreboard plays a factor in this to an extent, with the Rams winning all of those games by multiple scores. The Rams have been alternating drives between Williams and Corum, but the upside is capped with Corum due to the lack of high-value touches.

Williams has 17 of the 23 running back carries inside the 10-yard line this season to Corum's six. The veteran also holds a significant advantage in targets, with 29 to Corum's eight. Williams isn't the most dynamic running back in the league, but he does a lot of things really well and has again thrived in Sean McVay's offense and been one of the most productive fantasy running backs in the league. That is why Corum is a must-roster player because if Williams were to miss any time, Corum would immediately be an RB1 for fantasy in that week.
