Javonte Williams Aims for Third Straight Top-5 Finish vs. Bears
Javonte Williams' hot start shows no signs of cooling. After back-to-back 20+ fantasy point outings, the former Broncos' workhorse will look to make it three straight top-five running back finishes when he faces the cuddly-but-leaky Bears in Week 3. The optimism is easy to see: Williams is averaging 19 touches per game and just showcased his versatility with six receptions in last week's Dallas shootout. Fireworks are expected, but a rainy Soldier Field could tilt the game script toward an even heavier ground attack.
Chicago's run defense has been anything but cuddly, allowing the sixth-most rushing yards per game (148.5) and coughing up two rushing scores to Detroit in Week 2. With head coach Brian Schottenheimer eager to pound the rock, Williams remains the centerpiece of Cowboys offense and a locked-in as a high-end RB2 for fantasy managers.
