Mekhi Becton Questionable to Play on Friday Due to Illness
Los Angeles Chargers offensive guard Mekhi Becton (illness) has been added to the team's injury report due to an illness and is now questionable to play on Friday in Brazil for the Week 1 divisional clash against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to the team. Becton probably has a decent shot at suiting up, but if he were to be inactive, it would be a concern for the Chargers offense against a Chiefs defense that was one of the best in football a year ago. The 26-year-old former first-rounder of the New York Jets in 2020 out of Louisville was a bust for Gang Green due to injuries, but he excelled last year with the Philadelphia Eagles after moving to guard and parlayed it into a two-year, $20 million deal in the offseason with the Bolts. If Becton doesn't play on Friday, it will be a small downgrade for Chargers running backs
