Konnor Griffin Swipes Four More Bags Over the Weekend
Konnor Griffin continues to get it done at the plate and wreak havoc on the basepaths for Single-A Bradenton. The ninth-overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft went 3-for-6 with three walks in nine plate appearances in two games over the weekend, driving in two runs and scoring twice while stealing four bases. The 19-year-old has eight steals over his last eight games and has tallied 25 steals on the year through 45 games, while getting his slash line to .310/.371/.511. At this rate, High-A should be just around the corner, and the 6-foot-4 slugger looks like he could be a very fast riser through the Pittsburgh system.
