MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (5/27/25)

Rafael Devers - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB DFS Picks

Jamie's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Tuesday, 5/27/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Good morning, RotoBallers! Another Tuesday baseball slate is upon us with 11 games to delve into. Thankfully, we don't have to try and navigate the Coors effect, and there are some really fun matchups to check on as the weather (finally) starts to warm up around the country.

I likely won't be watching much baseball tonight as I'll be painted orange and blue in preparation for Game 4 between the Knicks and Pacers, but it won't stop me from playing my usual amount of MLB DFS. As the NBA playoffs have wound down, I've gotten much more into cash again. Tune into the RotoBaller Discord as all our amazing analysts bring you the best coverage in the business.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/27/2025, with the slate starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will showcase elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Carlos Rodon, NYY ($10,500 DK/$10,100 FD)

Don't look now, but Carlos Rodon is finally starting to put it together as a Yankee (maybe it was the beard after all). His 2.88 ERA is backed by a 3.23 xFIP, and his 43% GB rate is the highest in his career since 2017, when he was with the White Sox. In addition, he has an elite 31% K rate, which is approaching his contract year in SF before he signed with New York.

The matchup against the Angels isn't the best for strikeouts (they're 25th in K rate against LHP), but their team wOBA against lefties is 24th, and they're 27th in ISO. The absence of Mike Trout is strongly felt throughout the Angels' lineup, making this an incredibly soft matchup for Rodon. He's worth even the elevated price tag.

Corbin Burnes, ARI ($9,300 DK/$9,700 FD)

Corbin Burnes is the top per-dollar play at SP and should be considered a cash lock when building your lineups. He's off to a solid start with his new team this year and has turned it up lately, only allowing four runs over the past 26 innings. His K rate is also over 30% in that span.

Outside of Oneil Cruz and his 600 MPH exit velocity, the Pirates are not a lineup to fear. They're 24th in wOBA against RHP and have the 11th-highest K rate against. Burnes's ability to give length (six quality starts out of his last seven) makes him extra appealing on FD, and if the K rate remains, he could outscore anyone at his position.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Rafael Devers, BOS ($5,100 DK/$4,300 FD)

Remember that slow start where everyone was calling for Rafael Devers' head? The drama over his refusal to play first base has also been forgotten, as his bat has just taken over everyone's mindset. The Boston 3B has been insane lately, hitting .396 over the past 25 games with 34 RBI. His 48 RBI now leads the American League.

Aaron Civale has been absolutely blitzed this year. His velocity on his fastball is down over three MPH, and he's currently walking over five batters per nine with an xFIP of 6.21. The Red Sox are a top stack tonight with an IRT over five runs, and Devers has zapped RHP for a .428 wOBA and .312 ISO.

Paul Goldschmidt, NYY ($4,600 DK/$3,400 FD)

Paul Goldschmidt continues to mash lefties, with a .424 wOBA and .235 ISO against them since the beginning of last year. He's also got a .906 OPS since the beginning of May, and will lead off against an incredibly suspect Angels' pitching staff.

Tyler Anderson will take the hill for the Halos tonight, and he's allowed a 40.4% HHR to righties since the beginning of 2023. He will also be backed by a bullpen that ranks 27th in FIP since May 1. Goldschmidt's mid-tier price tags reflect his lack of power this year, but he's an incredibly high-floor play for cash.

Jose Altuve, HOU ($3,900 DK/$2,900 FD)

Like Goldschmidt, Jose Altuve is another cagey veteran you can play at a discounted price tag. Altuve isn't the high-ceiling player that he used to be, and it's fair to wonder if Father Time is coming for his baseball career. However, Altuve continues to get regular time between second base and outfield, and gets premier lineup spots.

JP Sears has taken a solid step forward as a pitcher, but there are still chinks in his armor that can be exploited. His 18% K rate against righties is far worse than in the reverse split, and he's also allowed 1.68 HR/9 to RHB. Altuve has three multi-hit games in his last four, so maybe that long ball finally gets going tonight.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Aaron Judge, NYY ($6,600 DK/$5,100 FD)

There's a holy triumvirate of outfielders at the high end that all have a case for top overall hitter of the night (Aaron Judge, Kyle Tucker, and Corbin Carroll). Because their prices are so tightly condensed (a little less so on FD), it makes sense to pay for Judge if you're in this range.

Tyler Anderson has held his own in the Angels' piecemeal rotation this year, but all signs point to regression. He has over an 80% strand rate and has only induced ground balls at a 30.7% mark. In addition, his 3.60 ERA is backed by a 5.23 FIP and 5.15 xFIP. Judge and his 1.248 OPS is simply a mismatch here.

Seiya Suzuki, CHC ($5,700 DK/$4,100 FD)

If you're playing cash and can't afford Tucker, consider Seiya Suzuki to be an incredible consolation prize. His price tag is rising to uncomfortable levels, but his level of play certainly warrants it. Suzuki's OPS has passed .900, and his 49 RBI this year leads ALL major league hitters.

Coming into last night, Suzuki had a .462 batting average with three homers and 12 RBI over the previous seven days, and his barrel rate was tops in the league for that span. We usually like to target lefties against German Marquez, but his 11% K rate and 7.64 ERA indicate it's full-speed ahead with all Cubs' hitters.

Wilyer Abreu, BOS ($4,500 DK/$3,300 FD)

This continues our full-out assault with lefty Boston bats, and Wilyer Abreu is quietly having an excellent season for the Red Sox with 12 homers and an .840 OPS. Civale's struggles this season should be fully exploited, and Civale has a .371 wOBA and .269 ISO against RHP this season.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Kyle Tucker, CHC ($6,500 DK/$4,500 FD)
  • Corbin Carroll, ARI ($6,300 DK/$4,200 FD)
  • Christian Yelich, MIL ($4,300 DK/$3,100 FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Chicago Cubs vs. German Marquez

Despite cold temperatures and inward-blowing winds in Wrigley, the Cubs have an IRT approaching five runs. Marquez has been fading for quite some time, and it's coming to a head this season. Marquez only has an 11% K rate and 5.13 xERA this season, and the Cubs have the third-highest wOBA against RHP.

Favorite Combo: Tucker, Suzuki, Crow-Armstrong, Busch

2. New York Yankees vs. Tyler Anderson

Angel Stadium isn't Coors Field, but the Yankees are still leading the slate in IRT with a 5.3 total. As mentioned in the article, a lot of Anderson's successes this year are predicated on good luck, and stacking against regression is an effective strategy. The Yankees lead the league in wOBA against lefty pitching, and the Angels' bullpen isn't good either.

Favorite Combo: Goldschmidt, Rice, Judge, Bellinger

3. Boston Red Sox vs. Aaron Civale

Attacking a pitcher with a lower-than-usual velocity is like a shark smelling blood in the water. Civale has had a fairly successful career, but it hasn't translated to 2025. Civale has a 15.6% K rate against a 9.4% BB rate with a FIP over 10.00. The Red Sox are hitting, led by the hottest hitter on the planet in Rafael Devers.

Favorite Combo: Duran, Devers, Abreu, Narvaez
