Should I Start Jared Goff for Fantasy Football?
Jared Goff should be viewed as a QB2 this week and should be left on the bench unless you are a fantasy manager with limited quarterback options.
The Lions draw a tough matchup against the Packers, who rank sixth in the NFL against opposing quarterbacks in fantasy football this season. Goff has a low floor and has only finished with over 20 fantasy points three times this season.
The Lions' game plan each week has focused on their run game, which means Goff isn't asked to make many downfield throws, and that has limited his ceiling as a fantasy option.
Fantasy managers should keep Goff on the bench this week, as he shouldn't be viewed as higher than a QB2 option.

Should I Start Jordan Love for Fantasy Football?
Jordan Love should be avoided in starting lineups for fantasy football this week against the Lions. Love has had an up-and-down season for fantasy purposes and this week's matchup provides difficulty.
The Lions rank seventh in the NFL against quarterbacks in fantasy and the pass rush could also create a ton of issues for Love, as well as the Packers offensive line, which could disrupt rhythm in the passing game.
Love will always have a solid floor, which gives fantasy managers hope when starting him, but his ceiling is going to be limited this week against the Packers. Love can be viewed as a QB2 this week.

Should I Start Sam LaPorta for Fantasy Football?
Sam LaPorta should be inserted in your fantasy starting lineups this week as the Lions take on the Packers on Thursday night. It has been a slow season for LaPorta after finishing as a top TE last year, but the involvement has increased recently and so has his production.
In the last five games for LaPorta, he is averaging just under six targets per game and has totaled four touchdowns, which included two from last week's Thanksgiving game against the Bears.
Green Bay has struggled this season to defend the tight-end position, and with the Lions continuing to be a high-powered offense, this benefits LaPorta's opportunities. LaPorta can be viewed as a low-end TE1 option for the remainder of the season.
