FanDuel NBA DFS Picks for Today (Wednesday 11/13/24): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Dan's favorite FanDuel NBA DFS picks for today, Wednesday 11/13/24. His top daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for FanDuel DFS contests.

Wednesdays are some of the best days for NBA action as we always have a loaded slate of games on tap. Tonight we have an 11-game slate on FanDuel and with at least a half-dozen star players ruled out (and another 10+ important players currently questionable) it's going to be a difficult slate to navigate today. We may end up with some "stars and scrubs" lineups if more value pops up and I would recommend that everyone not get too dug into their strategy too early today.

I recommend some higher-priced players for cash games and GPPs in today's edition while highlighting some of my favorite value plays and game stacks. Read my buddy Zach Thompson's article if you want advice on the DraftKings NBA slate!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 11/13/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7 p.m. EST on FanDuel.

FanDuel NBA DFS Core Picks

Devin Booker, PHO – SG/SF ($8,700)

Booker scored 31 actual points last night while leading the Suns to a win over Utah. He now has 46 and 51 FD points in his first two games without Kevin Durant this season.

The Suns play Sacramento again for the second time in four days and Booker just dropped 23 points and 12 assists against them on Sunday. With Bradley Beal questionable for tonight (left last night's game with a calf issue and didn't return), we could see Booker forced into even more of the heavy lifting on offense. He's a lock for cash games tonight, don't overthink this one!

Franz Wagner, ORL – SF/PF ($8,300)

Wagner continued his upward trajectory last night as he dominated Charlotte to the tune of 32 points, eight boards, and five assists in just 31 minutes as Orlando blew the doors off a wounded Hornets team.

Wagner has now posted 40+ FD points in four straight games and is leading the team in usage, scoring, and assists. One of those games was a 43.6 FD-point outing against tonight's opponent - the Indiana Pacers.

The same logic applies here to Wagner as it does to Booker. We have a guy taking on a massive role for his team while his superstar teammate is hurt and is too cheap for that upsized role. The floor is high and Wagner is the second guy I click into my builds tonight after Booker.

Jalen Williams, OKC – SF/PF ($8,200)

Williams started at center last time out and dropped 50 FD points in the process. This really shows how the NBA has become a positionless league to an extent as the OKC Thunder have so much talent and depth that they are getting away with playing no one over 6-foot-8 in their lineup since Chet Holmgren went down.

Williams and Shai Gilgeous Alexander ($10,500) should continue to be usage monsters for this team and great DFS plays on a nightly basis for the foreseeable future. They are surrounded by complimentary players, but SGA and Williams are going to eat first when it comes to scoring and both have major upside in assists, too, as they are the primary initiators of the offense.

This depleted Pelicans team is not what they usually are defensively, so I expect OKC to pile up points in this one. I want one of their top two studs in my lineup and the $2300 savings that Williams offers from SGA is substantial.

FanDuel NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

Karl-Anthony Towns, NYK – C ($9,200)

There are going to be some popular punts at the center position, which is going to leave KAT very lightly-rostered tonight in tournaments. I want to take advantage of that and slam him into lineups while "flipping the build" against what cash game players are doing.

The big man is loving life in the Big Apple, posting some of the best numbers of his career while leading the Knicks to a solid start to their season. He's producing at a 1.25 FD points per minute rate this season and his coach is not afraid to run him out there for heavy minutes (38 minutes in three of his last four). The Bulls defense is a sieve and I expect the Knicks, even on a back-to-back to run up a big score tonight in Chicago - and they running their offense through Towns first and foremost.

OG Anunoby, NYK – SF/PF ($6,800)

Another Knickerbocker who is too cheap is Anunoby! Despite posting 40+ FD points in four of his last six games, he's still under 7k and is right in the mid-tier of pricing that is often overlooked in tournaments as players try to jam in high-priced studs to get access to their ceilings.

Anunoby is finally blossoming into the player in New York that we were hoping for all those years in Toronto. He's scoring the ball extremely efficiently and has been a perfect complimentary piece alongside Jalen Brunson and KAT. The Bulls allow the fifth-most FD points per game to opposing power forwards this season!

LeBron James, LAL - SF/PF ($9,900)

Yes, the last time James faced Memphis they had a healthy Ja Morant and the Lakers were without Anthony Davis. That explains why he dropped 54.4 FD points in that game while scoring 39 actual points. But how do you explain the two straight triple-doubles that he has posted since then with Davis in the lineup?

LeBron is simply amazing and I hope fans have an appreciation for his greatness and what he's doing out there at his age. As far as DFS goes, I'd have an interest in any player under 10k who has gone for 50+ FD points in five straight games! We need Memphis to keep this thing close and they have enough talent to do so even without Morant in the lineup. Get the King in some tourney lineups tonight!

Others Under Consideration: Alperen Sengun - C ($8,100), Tari Eason - SF/PF ($6,000), De'Aaron Fox - PG ($8,400)

FanDuel NBA DFS Value Picks

Brook Lopez, MIL – C ($4,900)

Lopez took on a much bigger role last night for the Bucks, playing heavier minutes and getting up more shots as they were without Damian Lillard. If Dame sits again, then expect Lopez to continue to be more assertive on offense, while also having a major impact on defense with his shot-blocking ability. He went for 40.9 FD points last night which is 8x value at this price!

Delon Wright, MIL – PG ($4,200)

Keep an eye on Ryan Rollins's ($3,600) status today. He left last night's game early and Wright finished out the rest of the point guard minutes and matched Rollins' steal total with five of his own! Wright would be one of the top values on the slate if Rollins can't go. And if Rollins does start, then we just pivot over to him for $600 less (assuming that Lillard is still out, too).

Jared McCain, PHI – PG/SG ($5,200)

I think we see Joel Embiid and possibly even Paul George rest tonight in the second half of a back-to-back against the unstoppable Cleveland Cavaliers. They are already without star point guard Tyrese Maxey, which is why the rookie McCain has seen 30 minutes of playing time in three straight games.

McCain has been coming off the bench, but I think he's the one Philly player I have some interest in as his minutes are probably the safest even in a blowout script tonight.

Naz Reid, MIN – PF/C ($5,200)

You never know when Naz is going to pop off, so you should probably play him when he's this cheap just in case! The Wolves get the Portland Trail Blazers for the third time in a week tonight and Naz could easily make value on this price tag if he gets hot shooting or sees big minutes again (he played 33 minutes last night and had 38.7 FD points)

Others Under Consideration: Robert Williams - C ($4,100), Donovan Clingan - C ($4,100) - both Portland bigs only if Deandre Ayton is OUT, A.J. Green - SG ($4,100), Grayson Allen - SG/SF ($4,100)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

Phoenix Suns at Sacramento Kings (225.5 total, 6.5-point spread)

The Suns have some very predictable and stackable pieces going into this game. Booker and Beal (if he plays) are the first two clicks with Grayson Allen being the value play on the wing. Keep an eye on Jusuf Nurkic's status because Mason Plumlee ($5,500) is an awesome value at center if he draws another start.

On the Kings side, I think De'Aaron Fox is underpriced for this matchup and we saw him flirt with a triple-double on Sunday against this Phoenix team. DeMar DeRozan ($8,000) is a worthy run-back, too, as he had 34 actual points in that meeting a few days ago.

Indiana Pacers at Orlando Magic (224.5 total, 2-point spread)

If you are going to play a chalky Franz Wagner, then you may as well correlate some other Orlando or Indiana plays while you are at it! This game should stay close and that's one of the most important things for a game stack, regardless of the game total.

I don't think many folks are playing Goga Bitadze at center today at $6200, but he matched Myles Turner's score in their first matchup. Bennedict Mathurin is now up to $6500 after a massive game against the Knicks are could still be a bargain if he continues to score at such a torrid pace. Tyrese Haliburton will have to deal with some Jalen Suggs defense (and vice versa) so I may focus more on the forwards and big men here instead.
