Fantasy Football Injury Updates for Week 4: Jordan Love, Davante Adams, George Kittle, Joe Mixon, A.J. Brown

Davante Adams - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Fantasy football injury updates and injury reports for QB, RB, WR, TE for Week 4, as of 9/28/2024, including Justin Herbert, Trey McBride, George Kittle, A.J. Brown, Jordan Love

On the injury front, there is no such thing as a quiet week.

Quite a few significant fantasy players carry injury designations into Week 4, including quarterbacks Justin Herbert and Jordan Love, wide receivers A.J. Brown and Davante Adams, and tight end Trey McBride.

As news continues to trickle in on game day, make sure to favorite the fantasy football player news page and download the RotoBaller fantasy football mobile app for free. This is the latest as of Saturday, Sept. 28.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Jordan Love Injury Update

Officially, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (knee) is listed as questionable when the Minnesota Vikings come to town in Week 4.

Love has not played since Week 1, though he has practiced in a limited capacity in the lead-up to this week's game. Green Bay is 2-0 behind backup quarterback Malik Willis, who again would get the call if Love is inactive.

Justin Herbert Injury Update

With the Los Angeles Chargers welcoming Kansas City in Week 4, quarterback Justin Herbert (ankle) is listed as questionable, according to the team's injury report.

The Chargers' franchise quarterback started in the loss at Pittsburgh last week, but was not able to play the entire game. Without Herbert, Taylor Heinicke — not Easton Stick — saw the field for the Chargers.

Chris Olave Injury Update

New Orleans Saints wide receive Chris Olave (hamstring) suddenly popped up on the injury report on Friday, leaving him questionable for Sunday's game at Atlanta.

A notoriously nagging injury 48 hours before the game certainly is not ideal for the Saints. Behind Olave and wide receiver Rashid Shaheed, undrafted rookie Mason Tipton is the only Saints receiver to draw more than one target this season.

Davante Adams Injury Update

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) already has been ruled out of the Raiders' Week 4 game against Cleveland, according to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.

The injury escalated quickly for Adams, who appeared on the Raiders' injury report on Thursday and was ruled out 24 hours later. Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker figure to see increased workloads at wide receiver with the team's No. 1 target unable to go this week.

DeVonta Smith Injury Update

As expected, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Devonta Smith (concussion) will miss this Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, according to the team's official injury report.

Smith took a vicious hit from Saints defensive tackle Khristian Boyd, whom the NFL fined for the collision. Smith's absence last week meant significantly more work for tight end Dallas Goedert, who put up a career-best 170 receiving yards on 10 catches.

A.J. Brown Injury Update

Wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) of the Philadelphia Eagles is listed as questionable for the Week 4 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to the club's injury report.

Brown did practice on Friday for the first time since suffering the injury in Week 1 against Green Bay, offering a glimmer of hope he could play. With Devonta Smith already out, the Eagles will be reliant upon a thin wide receiver corps of Britain Covey, Jahan Dotson, and Johnny Wilson if Brown also can't play.

Kenneth Walker III Injury Update

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III (oblique) practiced in a limited capacity on Friday ahead of the club's Monday Night Football game against the Detroit Lions, according to Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News-Tribune.

We'll have to wait for the third-year back's designation on the official injury report, but there is optimism he can suit up this week. Zach Charbonnet carried 18 times for 91 yards and two touchdowns without Walker last week.

Joe Mixon Injury Update

The Houston Texans have listed running back Joe Mixon (ankle) as questionable for the Week 4 game against Jacksonville on their official injury report.

Mixon missed last week's game against Minnesota, during which Cam Akers led the team in carries. With backup running back Dameon Pierce (hamstring) already ruled out, Akers again figures to be the lead back if Mixon can't go against the Jags.

Diontae Johnson Injury Update

The Carolina Panthers' official injury report listed wide receiver Diontae Johnson (groin) as questionable as the team heads into Sunday's game against Cincinnati.

Johnson was far and away the biggest benefactor of Carolina's switch to quarterback Andy Dalton after benching Bryce Young, logging eight catches for 122 yards and a touchdown last week. With wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) freshly on IR, Carolina would have to lean on Xavier Leggette and Jonathan Mingo as their top two receivers if Johnson can't play.

Deebo Samuel Injury Update

San Fransisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (calf) is listed as questionable against the New England Patriots on Sunday, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Samuel did not play in last week's loss to the Rams, during which Jauan Jennings went wild with three touchdown catches. Jennings, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle should pace the 49ers' passing attack if Samuel misses another game.

George Kittle Injury Update

San Fransisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (hamstring) is not listed on the team's injury report for Week 4 against New England.

That marks some good news for a banged-up 49ers offense that has started 1-2. Even after missing last week's game, Kittle still ranks among the league's best, clocking in at No. 8 among tight ends in PPR formats.

Trey McBride Injury Update

The Arizona Cardinals will be without tight end Trey McBride (concussion) when they play host to the Washington Commanders on Sunday, Arizona head coach Jonathan Gannon said.

Elijah Higgins figures to see a significant upgrade in playing time against Washington. The second-year pro has four catches for 41 yards and a touchdown through three games, but steps into a larger role against the 32nd-ranked fantasy defense.

David Njoku Injury Update

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (ankle) will miss the Browns' game at Las Vegas, according to Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The Raiders game will mark three straight weeks that Cleveland will be without its starting tight end. Jordan Akins has five catches for 49 yards in the past two weeks for a Cleveland offense struggling behind quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Keenan Allen Injury Update

Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen (heel) once again drew a questionable tag on the team's official injury report for their Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Allen practiced in full on Friday, offering some hope of a return. The veteran wideout was Chicago's target leader in Week 1, but has not played since. DJ Moore currently leads the team with 28 targets.
