Last week was slim pickings when it came to streamable two-start pitchers. There were a few good pitchers that were over 50% rostered, but overall it didn't look like a great week. This week looks even more bleak and there are fewer options to stream than in the first few weeks.

For those new to this recurring column, each week this fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify starting pitchers expected to make two starts in the upcoming week and can be considered as fantasy baseball streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire runs for leagues with weekly transactions.

There are 37 pitchers currently scheduled to make two starts during this period. We will be looking at pitchers who are less than 50% owned in Yahoo leagues. Listed will be those who are rostered over 50%, those who are best available under 50%, and risky options under 50%. There are other two-start pitchers available, but they should be avoided.

Best Available Two-Start Pitcher Streamers

Kenta Maeda, Minnesota Twins - 40% Rostered

Scheduled Starts: vs. NYY, vs. KC

Maeda is consistently among the league's best in chase rate. Since the start of his career, he's had one season where he was out of the top 70th percentile. He currently has a 1.00 WHIP through his first three starts. The two things hurting Maeda right now are hard-hit balls and his injuries. He was taken out of his last start after being hit by a comebacker in the ankle. He hasn't yet been cleared to make his next scheduled start, so you may have to wait until the last minute before knowing if he's a two-start pitcher this week.

Mason Miller, Oakland Athletics - 34% Rostered

Scheduled Starts: @ LAA, vs. CIN

One of the hottest names in baseball right now, Miller will be looking to continue to help fantasy managers in the strikeout department, at the least. With 24 K's through 13 innings pitched, he is been dominant at three levels in three starts. The 6-foot-5 right-hander has a 70-grade fastball and uses it often. He consistently tops out at over 100 mph. Hopefully, he can pitch a little deeper into games this week and collect his first win to add to the bevy of strikeouts he'll accumulate.

Brad Keller, Kansas City Royals- 25% Rostered

Scheduled Starts: @ ARI, @ MIN

Though Keller doesn't have the best matchups or the best stuff, he has been doing a few things well this season. His barrel percentage, launch angle, and xBA are all better than his career averages and the league average. His 3.00 ERA is a substantial improvement over the last two seasons. He's also striking out opposing hitters at a career-best 20.7%, though that still falls below the league average.

Eduardo Rodriguez, Detroit Tigers - 20% Rostered

Scheduled Starts: @ MIL, vs. BAL 

Rodriguez doesn't light up the radar gun or rack up the strikeouts, but he's been a better pitcher to begin this season than he has in a few years. His 3.00 ERA and 3.06 xERA tell how effective he's been so far. And the biggest reason for his success has been his ability to miss the barrel of bats and keep walks to a minimum. He's in the 77th percentile in both BB% and Barrel %. The 30-year-old lefty is even better at limiting hard contact. Rodriguez comes in at the 93rd percentile in average exit velocity and 90th percentile in hard-hit percentage.
