Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for Friday Week 4 (9/23/22). His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.
This is going to be a blast of a Friday night! We have a five-game appetizer before Saturday's monster day of college football once again. These aren't just FCS teams that no one cares about. We kick this off with Tulane in Houston and UTSA heading to Murfreesboro to take on the MTSU team that just blew the doors off of Miami in Coral Gables.
The next hour brings the struggling Aztecs to the Smurf Turf to take on the struggling Broncos. Hey, it looked more exciting when they made the schedule. You can't win them all! Next we have a Pac-12 tilt between undefeated teams with Washington heading to L.A. to take on UCLA. We close this out with an exciting UNLV team taking on Tiger-bait New Mexico. That's a nice collection of games!

I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Michael Penix, Washington ($8,500)
UCLA's pass defense has been solid this year, but that's in large part because they are struggling stopping the run. Penix hasn't run as much with Washington as he did with Indiana, but he still has that ability in his back pocket. Penix has dazzled through the air this year. He is leading the Pac-12 with 12 passing touchdowns and has only turned the ball over once in four games – against FCS Portland State. Penix has been great against FBS opponents and I don't see that changing here.
Frank Harris, UTSA ($6,800)
The Middle Tennessee State defense was still had a few times last week. Aside from the Texas game, Frank Harris has been outstanding this year. And it wasn't like he was horrible against Texas...he just didn't have any space to operate and didn't throw a touchdown pass. Harris has at least 330 passing yards in each of the other three games with ten touchdown passes to one interception. he feels underpriced here against a Middle Tennessee State team that still gives up a lot of yards.
Taylen Green, Boise State ($5,300)
This is going to be a tough first career start for Green after Hank Bachmeier entered the transfer portal following the firing of the offensive coordinator. Green was electric in the opener against Oregon State, but what makes him electric is his running ability. The Aztecs have one of the best run defenses in the country. Still, there is nice upside here for GPP usage.
Also consider: Dorian Thompson-Robinson, UCLA ($8,100); Doug Brumfield, UNLV ($7,000); Michael Pratt, Tulane ($6,500); Miles Kendrick, New Mexico ($5,000)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Aidan Robbins, UNLV ($6,800)
Once again, Robbins feels cheap. He had a pedestrian game by his standards against Utah State, but this New Mexico team has been awful defensively. Part of it is because the offense can't move the ball. The other part is that the team didn't play at home for two years because of COVID restrictions. At any rate, Robbins has scored seven touchdowns in four games. He gets a lot of short-yardage work and has the ability to break one from anywhere on the field. He's the bellcow for the Rebels and should be in for a monster here.
Tyjae Spears, Tulane ($5,300)
I have seen the Houston defense have momentary lapses of reason all season long. Spears easily had his best day of the year last week against Southern Miss. Spears has six touchdowns in three games against FBS opponents. Michael Pratt eats up a lot of yards, but Spears also caught five passes last week. He is active in the passing game as well and gives us some nice free points on DraftKings.
Also consider: Zach Charbonnet, UCLA ($6,500); Brenden Brady, UTSA ($5,900); Frank Peasant, Middle Tennessee State ($5,100)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Zakhari Franklin, UTSA ($7,500)
The way to get to Middle Tennessee State is through the air. The Blue Raiders are allowing under 100 yards per game rushing, but are up near 250 allowed through the air. Franklin has at least six receptions, 80 yards, and is averaging a touchdown per game on the season. The only team to keep him out of the end zone was Houston, but Franklin hauled in ten passes to still have a big day for DFS purposes. He's about as sure of a thing as you will find on this slate, even if his ceiling is a little bit lower than Dell's.
Jalen McMillan, Washington ($7,100)
The outstanding play of Penix is making the Washington receivers attractive fantasy options. McMillan appears to be his favorite target, although Washington is spreading the ball around quite a bit. McMillan still has double-digit DraftKings points in all four games. There are some cheaper Washington options that look pretty nice as well, but McMillan is the only one that gives you a safe floor.
Kyle Williams, UNLV ($6,200)
Ricky White is the most talented UNLV receiver, but Williams appears to have the safer floor. He has scored a touchdown in every game so far this season while White went invisible against Utah State last week. White failed to catch a pass and only had one rush for three yards the entire game. Against New Mexico they could both have big games, but Williams is the only one that can give you sure production.
Rome Odunze, Washington ($5,400)
Stanford did a good job of handling McMillan, but the price of that was Odunze going nuts. He hauled in eight passes for 161 yards and a score, which basically doubled his season totals. He missed week 2 against Portland State, but Odunze has been involved rather heavily in the other three games. Based on price alone, I like him more than McMillan.
