MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Picks
Alek Manoah UNDER 5.5 strikeouts (-125 DraftKings Sportsbook)
While the Yankees did post the 10th-highest K rate against right-handers in 2021 with a rate of 23.5%, this number is just a tad high for Alek today. He has gone as deep as four innings this spring, but has not struck out more than three batters in any appearance. In 2021, he struck out 127 batters across 111 2/3 innings pitched, so the strikeout upside is there, we will just want to wait for a few more starts before punching the over.
Chris Flexen OVER 3.5 strikeouts (-135 Caesars Sportsbook)
This should be a solid prop on Flexen as he has thrown a total of 12 innings this spring and is fresh off a five-inning start on March 31. He gets a matchup against the Twins, who struck out the 12th-most in baseball against right-handed pitchers in 2021 with a rate of 23.2%. While Flexen may not be the strongest in terms of his K rate, he should be able to work deep enough to get over 3.5 and the odds at -135 tell us that as well.
Dylan Bundy OVER 3.5 strikeouts (-145 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Bundy should be able to cruise over this total against a Mariners team that ranked fourth-worst in baseball in 2021 against right-handed pitchers with a K rate of 24.5%. Bundy should be relatively loose as he has thrown nine innings across three appearances this spring and was worked up to four innings in his last outing where he struck out five batters.
MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Picks
Steven Kwan over 1.5 total bases (+130 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Steven Kwan has taken the league by storm as he is now 8-for-10 with two doubles and has eclipsed this total in two of his first three games as a professional. He will be matched up against right-hander Carlos Hernandez, which bodes well for Kwan as he is 7-for-9 against right-handers to begin 2022. He will then get to face a Royals pen that posted a 4.22 ERA and 1.31 WHIP in 2021 and currently has the second-highest pen ERA in baseball with a mark of 6.89.
