Yahoo Lineup Picks (Week 4) - NFL DFS Advice

Hey there RotoBallers! Hopefully you didn't fall for the Cam Newton vs. the Saints fake gold and instead put your trust in the Colts, or any offense, against the Cleveland Browns defense.

In this article, I will be taking a look at some of my favorite Yahoo DFS lineups picks for the Week 4 game slate. These DFS picks are based on a multitude of factors including matchup, talent, recent performance, Vegas odds, and pricing on Yahoo.

Generally, I will try to outline a top option at each position along with a value option with a chance to at least hit value. Let's get to it!

DFS Quarterback Picks for Yahoo

Russell Wilson, Seattle vs. IND, $34

Wilson shook off a disappointing start to the season to shred the Tennessee Titans for 373 passing yards and four touchdowns in Week 3. While Seattle's poor offensive line is going to continue to be a concern this season, it shouldn't be an issue against a leaky Colts pass defense. Indianapolis has struggled against the pass for a few seasons now, but they have shown to be functional against the run through three weeks. That could serve to funnel additional pass opportunities onto Wilson's plate. With several of the high-priced quarterbacks in suboptimal spots this weekend, Wilson is a strong play.

Deshaun Watson, Houston vs. TEN, $20

Watson impressed in a tough spot against the Patriots in Week 3, throwing for 301 yards and two touchdowns while adding 41 rushing yards. He is minimum-priced for a quarterback on Yahoo and sets up as a solid value play this weekend. The Titans are coming off a game in which they allowed Russell Wilson to light them up for four passing touchdowns and rank just 24th in pass defense DVOA this year. While Watson isn't likely to duplicate Wilson's impressive Week 3, he is a good bet to outperform his salary this weekend.

DFS Running Back Picks for Yahoo

Dalvin Cook, Minnesota vs. DET, $24

Cook has operated as one of the few bell cow backs in the NFL this season, handling 61 carries and adding 10 receptions through the first three weeks of the season. His high usage combined with his passing game ability gives him a high weekly floor for fantasy owners. The Lions have been stout against the pass this season, ranking fifth in DVOA, but they have been just average against the run, ranking 16th.

Bilal Powell, New York Jets vs. JAX, $14

Powell is a solid value play heading into Week 4. While he has disappointed through the first three weeks of the season, he will not have to split work this week with Matt Forte, who is week-to-week with a toe injury. Powell showed in 2016 what he can do when given a full workload and has a shot at finishing as an RB1 in Week 4 if given a full workload. The Jaguars' run defense, through three weeks, ranks dead last in the league in DVOA. They also rank first in pass defense, so if there were ever a spot for the Jets to lean on their run game, this is it.

DFS Wide Receiver Picks for Yahoo

A.J. Green, Cincinnati @ CLE, $35

A.J. Green and the Bengals offense finally got going in Week 3 against a vulnerable Green Bay secondary. They pull an even better matchup in Week 4 as they travel to Cleveland to take on a struggling Browns pass defense. This is a no-brainer as Green is an elite fantasy receiver going up against the Browns. He's one of the more expensive receivers on Yahoo this weekend but it will be well worth it to make room for him in your lineups. Green moves around the Bengals' offensive formation quite a bit, meaning he should run just around half of his routes at Cleveland cornerback Jamar Taylor, who has just a 35.6 grade at Pro Football Focus over the past two years.

Stefon Diggs, Minnesota vs. DET, $23

Diggs sets up as a great cash game option. Through three weeks of the season, he has clearly established himself as a top-10 fantasy receiver this year. Despite his impressive performances in two of the past three weeks, his pricing on Yahoo does not reflect his extreme upside. He should be a popular play this weekend but that's fine for cash games. The matchup with Darius Slay isn't ideal but getting a player of Diggs' talent at a WR2 price is hard to pass up.

DFS Tight End Picks for Yahoo

Jimmy Graham, Seattle vs. IND, $18

Graham turned in one of the more surprising fantasy performances in Week 3. After being held to one catch for one yard in Week 2 and then missing practice time with an ankle injury heading into Week 3, Graham exploded for seven catches and 72 yards against the Titans this past Sunday. He draws a dream matchup this weekend as the Seahawks welcome the Colts to town. Indianapolis' pass defense ranks just 26th in DVOA against tight ends this season. With Doug Baldwin looking very questionable with a groin strain this week, Graham would be in line for additional targets if Baldwin can't suit up. There's a good chance the Seahawks decide they can beat the Colts without Baldwin and choose to rest him this weekend. Graham is a very good play with Baldwin active and a slam dunk if Baldwin is out.

Cameron Brate, Tampa Bay vs. NYG, $14

In what is becoming an ongoing tradition, play tight ends against the Giants. New York has allowed a tight end to score in each of their first three games while allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to the position. Brate has been splitting snaps with rookie O.J. Howard but he generally runs more routes while Howard is asked to stay near the line of scrimmage and block more frequently. Brate has an excellent shot at scoring a second straight touchdown and paying off his low salary in Week 4.

Defense/Special Teams Pick for Yahoo

Cincinnati Bengals @ CLE, $17

Again, as mentioned with A.J. Green above, there's no reason to get fancy here. The Browns are starting a rookie quarterback in DeShone Kizer, who has already thrown seven interceptions through three games. They have no reliable receivers with Corey Coleman on injured reserve, and they refuse to give Duke Johnson, their best offensive player, more than 6-8 touches per game. The Bengals are coming off a strong showing against the Packers which saw them sack Aaron Rodgers six times and intercept him once. The Packers are dealing with some injuries on the offensive line, while the Browns are fully healthy there, but Kizer has shown a tendency to hold onto the ball too long through his first three games. That will give the Cincinnati pass rush ample time to disrupt Kizer and the Cleveland offense. Tee up the Bengals in all formats this weekend.
