WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks, Betting Picks (6/23/22): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel, Best Bets

WNBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball stock

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks and betting picks for 6/23/22. Expert WNBA DFS advice for DraftKings and FanDuel and today's best bets.

We have four WNBA games on tap for Thursday night. In the early games, the Mercury take on the Lynx and the Fever face the Wings, followed by the Mystics against the Storm and the Sky against the Sparks.

I'll be providing daily fantasy lineup picks for the WNBA this season here at RotoBaller. In addition, I'll be sprinkling in some basic betting picks. Not going to get complicated since there's limited space in this piece, but I'll throw you a bet or two each day that I like and because I think this is important, that I'll be making myself.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/23/22. These lineup picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slate locks on 6/23/2022 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Forwards

Candace Parker (Chicago Sky) - @ LA - DK: $10,200, FD: $7,600

After missing a couple games with an ankle injury, Parker returned against Vegas and didn't miss a beat, scoring 17 points on 7-for-13 shooting with 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals in a comeback win over the league's best team. Subtract the Liberty game where she was clearly hampered by the ankle and Parker has scored 12 or more points in her last four full games. She's providing value across the board and now faces her former team. In the first meeting this year with LA, she had 21 points on 8-for-14 shooting with six rebounds, six assists, one block and three steals. Big numbers there from Parker.

NaLyssa Smith (Indiana Fever) - @ DAL - DK: $9,700, FD: $5,300

Smith, who went to college at Baylor, which is just a couple hours down the road from Dallas, gets to face a Wings team on Thursday that allows opponents to shoot 51.6% from inside the arc, the highest mark in the W. She's had double-digit rebounds in three consecutive games, with 20-plus point double-doubles in two of those. Scoring-wise, there's been a couple blemishes on her resume, like when Phoenix recently held her to four points on 1-for-7 shooting, but overall, Smith has really been on fire for the Fever.

Teaira McCowan (Dallas Wings) - vs IND - DK: $4,100, FD: $3,600

McCowan's salary on DraftKings kind of crashed after last game despite the fact she was 6-for-10 from the floor, scoring 14 points. She only had four rebounds, which pushed her overall fantasy score down a little from where it should have been, but it was another solid game for McCowan, who now gets to face her old team. This will be her first game against Indiana, which allows the fourth-most rebounds and second-highest two-point field goal percentage in the league. It's McCowan revenge game time, y'all.

WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Guards

Skylar Diggins-Smith (Phoenix Mercury) - @ MIN - DK: $11,000, FD: $8,600

While the Mercury suffered a surprising loss to Minnesota last time out, Diggins-Smith wasn't the issue. She was 9-for-18 with 25 points, two rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal in the loss. She's now had 35-plus fantasy points in five consecutive games.

And there's also a bit of extra motivation for this one. Diggins-Smith missed out on being an All-Star starter because the player portion of vote didn't go her way:

It's time to go out there and show the players why their votes were wrong.

Marina Mabrey (Dallas Wings) - vs IND - DK: $8,400, FD: $6,900

Always like to target a player who is taking on the W's worst scoring defense. The easy answer here is to play Arike Ogunbowale and I won't be mad if you do, but I think there's some value in moving down the list a little and grabbing Mabrey. She's scored 14 or more points in three of the last four games, and in the one where she didn't, she had nine points, six rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals. Mabrey has the green light t0 fire up shots and faces a defense that struggles to prevent shots from going in, with Indiana allowing opponents to shoot 46.9% from the floor, the highest mark in the league.

Shey Peddy (Phoenix Mercury) - @ MIN - DK: $6,400, FD: $7,400

Peddy played 27 minutes against Minnesota last game, going 4-for-10 from the floor with 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal. She was 3-for-8 from deep, marking the second game in a row that Peddy made three three-pointers. With the Lynx on tap again on Thursday, Peddy can provide some nice value for your fantasy lineup.

WNBA Betting Picks for 6/23/2022

Yesterday's Results: 1-1

Some quick ML picks

Alright, so I've got some real life commitments this morning so instead of digging into spreads or O/Us, I'm just going to keep it simple. Here are my picks for the ML today. I'll briefly note afterward why I made any non-favorite picks.

Mercury

Wings

Storm

Sky

So, one non-favorite there, which is taking the Mercury over the Lynx. Yes, the game is in Minnesota and yes, the Lynx just beat the Mercury. But that win for Minnesota ended a five-game losing streak. This Minnesota team isn't very good and unless Sylvia Fowles, who is listed as questionable for this game, surprisingly returns, I have to take the talent in Phoenix. Tina Charles won't be held to seven points again like she was on Tuesday.
