Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 4:
Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence had a solid fantasy output in a 35-6 victory over the New England Patriots. Lawrence didn't have a showstopping day by any means, but the Patriots offense struggled with turnovers, giving the Jaguars good field position often.
That allowed the Jaguars offense to score quickly without needing to gain much in yardage. That is shown by Lawrence's final stat line of 182 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception on 19 completions. He also added 25 rushing yards. Lawrence now has two efficient performances and one poor performance through three weeks. He will look to continue his efficiency in Week 4 against what should be a vulnerable Cincinnati Bengals secondary.
Tyler Shough, New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough showed flashes of elite fantasy upside after taking over as starter midway through his 2025 rookie season, and he has rewarded fantasy managers who bought in as a 2026 sleeper. Through three weeks, Shough ranks third in the league with 912 passing yards, while his eight passing touchdowns trail only Brock Purdy and Kirk Cousins, making him the fantasy QB3 to begin the year.
Operating Kellen Moore's up-tempo offense, no player has seen more dropbacks or attempted more passes than Shough, and his surrounding cast, currently led by Chris Olave and tight end Juwan Johnson, should only grow stronger with 2026 first-round pick Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) nearing a return from the hamstring injury that landed him on injured reserve to begin the season. Shough is RotoBaller's QB8 ahead of a Monday night tilt with the Falcons, and he is a player who can be trusted as a long-term QB1.
C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud had his worst showing of the young season in Sunday's Week 3 loss to the division-rival Indianapolis Colts, going 16-for-27 passing (59.3%) for 167 yards with one touchdown and zero interceptions. He added two carries for 10 yards on the ground in the 19-17 loss. The 24-year-old struggled to move the football consistently against the Colts' defense without his top receiver, Nico Collins (hamstring), who missed a second straight game with a hamstring injury.
The former second overall pick from Ohio State threw for 353 yards in the Week 2 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and went for 274 yards and two TDs in the season-opening loss to the Buffalo Bills. Most notably, Stroud has avoided an interception through three weeks, and he could be getting Collins back this weekend in Houston's Week 4 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, whose defense has surrendered the third-most passing yards per game early in the year. Stroud is still a strong QB2 to have rostered in fantasy, and his arrow could be pointing back up soon once he gets his top target back.
Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 30 of his 55 pass attempts for 390 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions during Sunday's Week 3 loss against the Denver Broncos. He also rushed for 13 yards and took four sacks. There were both positives and negatives to take away from Stafford's performance on Sunday. The good news is that he racked up nearly 400 passing yards and delivered two touchdown passes, which is an impressive feat in itself but even more crazy when you consider that his top target, Puka Nacua (hip, groin), was inactive.
The bad news is that he took four sacks, completed less than 55% of his passes, and had two costly turnovers in a game that ended up with a score differential of four points. Fantasy managers will ultimately be pleased with this outcome, but Stafford and the Rams will look to clean up some of the mistakes heading into Week 4 against the Eagles.
Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett is worth a look for managers digging deeper for Week 4 quarterback help. Brissett completed 38 of 52 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's loss to San Francisco, then added another score on the ground. The 52 attempts were a season high after he threw 37 passes in Week 1 and 28 in Week 2, so there was plenty of volume to work with. The upcoming schedule helps, too. Arizona visits the Giants in Week 4 before hosting Detroit the following week, and both matchups have Brissett on the short-term fantasy radar.
He checks in 71st overall on RotoBaller's current waiver board, where the recommendation is geared toward two-quarterback leagues. Brissett makes the most sense as a 2QB or Superflex pickup, though managers in deeper one-quarterback formats can also consider him as a matchup-based streamer.
