Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 16:
Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
Though this has been an undoubtedly frustrating season for Brian Thomas Jr., the Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver is coming off back-to-back solid performances as his team has ascended to the top of the AFC South. The second-year player, ranked as the No. 44 overall PPR receiver, is certainly in the conversation for the biggest fantasy disappointment of the season relative to draft position.
However, managers who weathered modest outputs and an injury may have a light at the end of the tunnel, as Thomas has looked more like his rookie self with 13 targets, 7 catches, 153 yards, and a touchdown during the past two weeks. The Jags have a tough Week 16 matchup against a Denver Broncos defense that ranks ninth against PPR receivers, but Jacksonville and quarterback Trevor Lawrence are on such a hot streak that Thomas should carry WR3/flex consideration for managers deep in the playoffs.
Omarion Hampton, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Omarion Hampton, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton is beginning to assert himself in the backfield, leading the team with 15 carries and 54% of the rushing attempts last week. Even though Kimani Vidal ran the majority of routes and handled 100% of the two-minute offense, Hampton looked more explosive, averaging 4.1 yards per carry compared to Vidal's 2.8 against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Week 16 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys is promising, as Dallas is tied for second in rushing touchdowns allowed.
However, star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams (concussion) is off the injury report and is expected to play, adding an extra challenge for the backfield. As Hampton moves further away from his IR stint, his role in this run-heavy scheme could grow. RotoBaller projects him as the RB23 this week. Alec Pierce, WR, Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce caught his only target for 16 yards in the 18-16 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Last week marked the first game Pierce has played without Daniel Jones, who tore his Achilles in Week 14. His connection with Jones was exceptional, as Pierce was having the best season of his career before the injury.
Now, 44-year-old Philip Rivers is the starting quarterback for the Colts, and his showing against the Seahawks didn't offer any relief for Pierce and his fantasy outlook. Rivers averaged 4.4 yards per attempt and only had two completions over 10 yards last week. Not ideal for Pierce, who currently leads the NFL in yards per completion this season. The fourth-year receiver is better left on the bench than in starting lineups this week, as he looks to overcome the lack of deep-passing ability that Rivers has.

Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Carolina Panthers
Tetairoa McMillan will play in Week 16 after missing practices earlier in the week due to foot/ankle concerns. Last week against the Saints, McMillan had two receptions for 25 yards and finished with 4.5 PPR points, his lowest total this season. It was the third straight game in which McMillan had fewer than three receptions, and it was also the first time he did not catch a touchdown pass since Week 10. In Week 16, the Panthers will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Tampa Bay ranks 17th in Fantasy Points Per Game allowed to the WR position in 2025. McMillan has been Carolina's top overall receiver for the year, averaging 12.9 PPR points per game, but has been unreliable in recent weeks. The Carolina rookie has logged less than 12 PPR points in five of his last six starts, including each of his last three. This is a very crucial game for Carolina in the NFC South race this week, so McMillan should provide double-figure PPR totals, but he is certainly not an upside play.
Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

For context, the 26-year-old wideout has had two concussions in the last several weeks, and the Bengals could be extra hesitant to throw him back out there now that they've been eliminated from the playoffs.

Across his last seven games, the 24-year-old has recorded 647 receiving yards and five touchdown catches. After earning more than seven targets just once over the season's first 12 weeks, he's been targeted by Lions quarterback Jared Goff at least nine times in three straight games.
Williams could have a chance to continue his emergence in Week 16 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who profile as a favorable matchup on paper. Entering the week, Pittsburgh ranks 29th in the NFL in total receiving yards allowed (3,649). With Lions tight end Sam LaPorta (back) on Injured Reserve, Williams has emerged as the team's clear number two option in the passing game alongside wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown.
