When is Jacob Misiorowski getting called up? Will Misiorowski get promoted in May 2025? Read about this top fantasy baseball prospect outlook heading into Week 8.
Since the Milwaukee Brewers used a second-round pick on right-hander Jacob Misiorowski in 2022, the former Crowder College (Missouri) standout has become one of baseball's premier pitching prospects. His stock was already high entering the current campaign and has continued to rise thanks to a dominant start to the season.
Misiorowski is tearing through the Triple-A level in Nashville, but his time with the Brewers' top minor league affiliate may be short-lived. Consequently, he should be on fantasy managers' radars as the summer approaches.
So, when are the Brewers going to call up Misiorowski? Can we expect him to make his MLB debut sometime soon? Let's dive in and find out.
Jacob Misiorowski Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
While the towering 6-foot-7 Misiorowski held his own across a combined 97 1/3 innings at multiple levels in the minors last season, he only picked up 17 2/3 frames over 14 appearances in Triple-A ball. In all, Misiorowski logged an impressive 3.33 ERA with 127 strikeouts, though he did have control problems (60 walks, 15 wild pitches, 13 hit batters).
The 23-year-old Misiorowski began this season in Nashville and has continued to flourish, this time with much-improved command of the strike zone. Misiorowski has piled up 52 1/3 innings of 1.55 ERA pitching with 63 strikeouts against 20 walks, dropping his BB/9 from a bloated 5.55 last year to a much more palatable 3.44 in 2025. In further encouraging news, Misiorowski hasn't hit a batter yet, and he's only been charged with two wild pitches. When hitters have put the ball in play against him, they've managed a woeful .155 batting average. It helps to hit an eye-popping 103 mph on the radar gun, as Misiorowski did on May 15.

As an encore, in his most recent outing on Wednesday, Misiorowski struck out four, walked one, and held Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (the Yankees' affiliate) to one run and three hits over three innings. The flamethrower has now racked up the second-most strikeouts in Triple-A this year. He hit triple digits several more times on Wednesday.

Jacob Misiorowski Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
Misiorowski's first big league call-up isn't a sure thing for May, but it's possible he won't have to wait much longer. As JR Radcliffe of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel explained earlier this week, a promotion in the vicinity of June 6 may be in the offing. Delaying his debut until approximately that date would enable the Brewers to tamp down future arbitration earnings for Misiorowski.
With Misiorowski seemingly closing in on his first taste of the majors, fantasy managers should take notice. It could be weeks before Misiorowski forces his way onto a Milwaukee pitching staff with question marks relating to performance and injury. In the meantime, he'll have to continue emphatically making a case for a promotion to the Show at the minors' highest level.
