The top daily fantasy UFL lineup picks for DraftKings for Week 8 (2025). Kyle Ringstad provides UFL DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.
Welcome to Week 8 of the UFL season, RotoBallers! The playoff race is officially heating up. Birmingham and Michigan are rolling in the USFL conference, while D.C. and St. Louis have emerged as the class of the XFL conference. We’ve got four games on tap this weekend, starting Friday night with Memphis traveling to San Antonio. Saturday brings a FOX doubleheader: Michigan at Houston and Birmingham at St. Louis, followed by Arlington at D.C. to close out the slate Sunday.
We’re far enough into the season to trust the usage trends, but there’s still room for value, especially with injuries shaking up depth charts. Now’s the time to stay sharp, hunt leverage, and get weird when the slate calls for it (not at quarterback, though).
Below are my thoughts on DraftKings' Week 8 DFS slate of UFL contests, which goes live on 5/16 at 8 ET. I encourage you to read all our other weekly UFL fantasy football articles and stay on top of injury news and roster moves to remain well-informed and ahead of the competition. Let's get to it. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 8 UFL DFS Picks
Bryce Perkins - Michigan Panthers @ Houston Roughnecks - $10.8K
Jordan Ta'amu has been dominating lately (and he crushed as one of my picks in Week 7), but he's now the most expensive QB on the slate, and he gets a tough matchup against a stingy Arlington pass defense in Week 8. Let's pivot to the QB with the second-highest DK PPG average on the slate in Perkins, who has been steady all season and is averaging a monster 29.2 DK PPG over his last two outings.
Houston's defense ranks middle-of-the-pack, but Perkins is as matchup-proof as it gets in the UFL, as he can beat you through the air (69% completion rate, 192 passing yards per game, 9/2 TD/INT rate) and on the ground (38 rushing yards per game, five rushing touchdowns). This matchup features the highest implied total on the slate at 43.5 points, so Perkins and the Panthers shouldn't have any issue racking up fantasy points in this one.
DraftKings Running Backs - Week 8 UFL DFS Picks
Toa Taua - Michigan Panthers @ Houston Roughnecks - $8.8K
I've recommended this guy since he was $5,000 in Week 5 (23.2 DK points), and all he has done is continue to produce. He's now the second-most expensive RB on the slate, but I'm still interested in getting him in lineups. The volume is unmatched as he's averaging 13.5 carries and getting all the goal-line work with four scores over the last four weeks. This game has the highest implied total on the slate, and Houston's defense has allowed the most rushing yards (871), the second-highest yards per carry (4.5), and nine rushing touchdowns through seven games.
Deneric Prince - Memphis Showboats @ San Antonio Brahmas - $6.3k
Prince is an easy lineup-filling value pick on this slate due to the injury to starter Wes Hills. Prince turned 17 carries and six targets into a solid 11.8 DK points in Week 7 despite Hills playing and seeing nine touches in the first half. He figures to see the bulk of the workload in Week 8 with Hills sidelined and only Jalen Jackson (2.2 yards per carry) behind him. That will result in fantasy points in a favorable matchup against the Brahmas, who have allowed a mind-blowing 15 rushing touchdowns this season.
DraftKings Wide Receivers and Tight Ends - Week 8 UFL DFS Picks
Malik Turner - Michigan Panthers @ Houston Roughnecks - $8.6K
You don't have to stack Perkins with a receiver due to his rushing ability, but if you do go that route, it needs to be either Turner or Siaosi Mariner. Turner sees a slightly higher target share and has scored three times (to Mariner's zero), so he's the recommended play in Week 8. Houston's pass defense permits 11.3 yards per reception, which ranks fourth in the UFL, but they're not far off from ranking seventh (San Antonio - 11.6 yards per reception) out of eight teams. Turner is averaging a stellar 17.8 DK PPG over his last three games, so he's coming into this week in excellent form.
Deontay Burnett - Arlington Renegades @ D.C. Defenders - $6.6K
Burnett is my salary-saving WR of the week. His only two spike weeks this season came when he scored touchdowns in Week 5 (16.8 DK points) and Week 2 (13.7 DK points), but he's in solid form as he has caught 9-of-14 targets for 150 yards and a score over his last three games. His biggest week of the year came in Week 5, when he finished with 78 yards and a touchdown against the same D.C. defense he'll be facing in Week 8. I prefer my dart-throw plays to come from games with high implied totals, and that's what we have here with the matchup currently slated for 42.5 points.
Jace Sternberger - Birmingham Stallions @ St. Louis Renegades - $4.6K
The former Green Bay Packer has had a ho-hum season, but he has picked it up lately with games of 9.5 (Week 6) and 17.4 (Week 7) DK points. He caught 4-of-7 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown against Houston in Week 7, so he's more than worth the gamble at his dirt-cheap price tag in Week 8.
