Will Terry McLaurin play in Week 4 for fantasy football? Is Terry McLaurin injured or hurt heading into Week 4 of 2025? Read the latest Terry McLaurin injury report.
Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (quad) wasn't able to finish his Week 3 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. He caught three of his four targets for 74 yards in his team's win.
McLaurin is the team's clear WR1, and though he's had a slow start this season, he played last week without his starting quarterback, Jayden Daniels (knee), and still was highly efficient.
"Scary Terry," as he's known, is now 30 years old, and older players often deal with more injuries as their time in one of the most brutal sports leagues in the world increases. And with McLaurin dealing with injury, will he be able to play in Week 4?

Terry McLaurin Fantasy Football Injury Update
McLaurin is apparently dealing with a quad injury. He suffered this ailment in the fourth quarter and was pulled from the game, eventually being unable to return. While sometimes, quad injuries aren't severe, we don't know how bad things are yet.
#Commanders injuries today
• Will Harris (ankle)
• Percy Butler (hip)
• Terry McLaurin (quad)
• Marshon Lattimore (concussion)
• Trey Amos (calf)
• Dan Quinn (nose)— brandon (@JayDanielsMVP) September 21, 2025
There's not much else we know about the specifics. He could be dealing with a strain or some kind of ligament or tendon issue. The most likely scenario is probably a strain, though, as we haven't heard news that his ailment is serious.
Still, we'll have to wait for more updates on his status as the week goes on. He has a few hamstring strains in his past, but many NFL players do.
Is Terry McLaurin Playing in Week 4?
There's a very solid chance that he does. For now, we don't expect him to miss more than one week, at least, but we don't know the true extent of his injury, so his Week 4 status is very much up in the air. We might not know until much closer to game time.

Unfortunately, players who hold out for contract extensions are often more vulnerable to soft tissue injuries. Their extended time away from practice means they miss a lot of reps that help keep their bodies in peak shape, and in games where you're required to function at the absolute peak of your abilities, it can strain parts of your body just a little too much.
Terry McLaurin Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 4
If he does end up playing, he's still a must-start. He's clearly the Commanders' WR1, and even though he now shares the field with WR Deebo Samuel Sr., who's played well through three weeks, his downfield big-play ability is still readily apparent.

The longtime veteran was very close to scoring a touchdown in Week 3, and further replay showed that his knee likely remained off the ground as he was stretching for the goal line. He would have scored at least 16.4 PPR fantasy points had he been awarded the TD, and possibly more if he hadn't gotten hurt.
And this was in a game without his starting QB. With Daniels on the field and with more time to develop chemistry, McLaurin could again be one of the best WRs to have in fantasy football. He might have slightly less target volume than last season, though.
Through two games, both Samuel and tight end Zach Ertz have been heavily involved in the passing game. The missed practice time could be the culprit for McLaurin's dip in receiving work, though, and that would likely smooth out in time. With older players, there are always injury concerns, but McLaurin could easily have a huge game in Week 4, so you shouldn't bench him if he's healthy.
