Should I start Rome Odunze, Wan'Dale Robinson, Mack Hollins for Week 14? Fantasy football start em, sit em picks and recommendations for the 2024 NFL season.
It's not great that one of the bye weeks from hell for fantasy football happens to be the last game before the playoffs start, but we don't get to make the schedule. The Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Washington Commanders, and New England Patriots are all on bye this week.
This means key players such as wide receivers Zay Flowers, Courtland Sutton, Nico Collins, and Terry McLaurin won't be playing this week, and many fantasy managers are rightfully wondering who they should start in place of their studs.
Let's break down three options that could replace these guys and whether it's a good idea to start them in Week 14.
Should I Start Rome Odunze for Fantasy Football?
Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze has seen solid target volume in recent weeks, but the offense's overall lack of production, quarterback Caleb Williams' struggles, and competition for work in the receiving game have severely capped his upside this season.
Need to give Rome Odunze a shout out. He’s really grown this year, and we still got 6 games left.
He’s on pace for;
60 rec
804 yards
13.3 YPC
2 TDThat’s a solid rookie season IMO.

Odunze is still pretty solid, but it's time to admit that quarterback Michael Penix Jr. carried him, Jalen McMillan, and Ja'Lynn Polk to much higher draft statuses. None of them are living up to their draft capitals. Chicago should've drafted Brian Thomas Jr. Either way, Odunze is a fine start in leagues with 12 or more teams on rosters that need an emergency fill-in.
He is the WR40 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
Should I Start Wan'Dale Robinson for Fantasy Football?
New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson is just not a very good receiver, and he's on one of the worst passing offenses in the league. The Giants are tanking hard, and the offense has shown little signs of life in recent weeks. Robinson never gained good yardage anyway -- he's been a PPR scam receiver.
PPR points per target WRs and TEs (min. 50+ targets):
Best:
George Kittle (2.67)
Mark Andrews (2.63)
Jayden Reed (2.57)
Terry McLaurin (2.5)
Ja'Marr Chase (2.49)Worst:
Elijah Moore (1.3)
Wan'Dale Robinson (1.31)
Rome Odunze (1.33)
Diontae Johnson (1.35)
Dontayvion Wicks (1.37)— Ian Hartitz (@Ihartitz) December 4, 2024
He's been highly unproductive with his opportunities. But the injury to WR Malik Nabers (hip) could lead to more targets for Robinson. He's still a dangerous player to trust, but maybe the targets could lead to him getting some points. In a very deep league, if Leek doesn't play, he's not the worst player ever to start, but you'll be relying solely on PPR points.
He is the WR53 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
Should I Start Mack Hollins for Fantasy Football?
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Mack Hollins caught a touchdown in Week 13, but was only targeted one time. He simply doesn't get enough targets to be productive for fantasy football. It's possible he could have another decent game if WR Keon Coleman (wrist) can't play Sunday, but you shouldn't count on it.

Coleman has a solid chance of playing. We're not sure yet, but still, don't start Hollins. There's very little upside.

He is the WR73 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
