Quarterback Start 'Em and Sit 'Em Picks

Justin Fields - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I start Justin Fields, Bo Nix, Jordan Love for Week 6? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.

There have been many impressive quarterback performances in fantasy this season. Eight quarterbacks are averaging over 20.0 fantasy points per game. Another six quarterbacks are averaging at least 19.0.

Having that many options makes streaming even more appealing in fantasy football. If you don’t have one of the early round quarterbacks (who are healthy), then you can truly justify playing matchups to try and maximize your fantasy scoring.

Three options worth considering in Week 6 are Jordan Love, Justin Fields, and Bo Nix. Which are worth starting in Week 6? Read below to find out.

Should I Start Jordan Love for Fantasy Football?

Jordan Love entered Green Bay’s Week 5 bye in the middle of one of the best stretches of his career. He completed 69.4% of his passes for 1,000 yards, eight touchdowns, and one interception. Even more impressive was the fact that Love was achieving this goal despite missing two key receivers (Jayden Reed and Christian Watson) and several starting offensive linemen.

From a fantasy perspective, Love is a high-floor fantasy quarterback who can be a top-12 option on any given week. Love is the QB15 in points per game (18.8), but has two weeks with 20+ fantasy points. Unfortunately, the Packers are perfectly content leaning on the run game (and limiting Love’s passing volume) when the team is in the lead. That makes it difficult for Love, who isn’t a big scrambler, to be a consistent top-end fantasy quarterback.

There is a risk leaning on Love in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have arguably the best pass-catching duo in the NFL, but they will need to hope that Joe Flacco can get them the ball behind the worst offensive line in the league. If he can, this game has the potential to be an absolute shootout capable of pushing Love to a top-5 finish.

He is a top-12 option in Week 6, even with the risk that the Packers could get out to a fast lead and take the air out of the football.

Should I Start Justin Fields for Fantasy Football?

The Justin Fields experience continues to be a roller coaster in fantasy. On one hand, Fields still has clear struggles and limitations as a passer. He’s completed 67% of his passes in 2025 but has thrown for just 754 yards and four touchdowns in four games.

Thankfully for fantasy managers, Fields is still one of the most dynamic ball-carriers in the NFL. The veteran quarterback has 31 carries for 204 yards and three rushing touchdowns.

The result is a player who, despite being a limited passer with poor pass-catching weapons, is currently the QB4 in fantasy football (21.6 PPG). He has three games with 25.0 fantasy points in his four starts. A majority of that production has come in the fourth quarter of losses this season.

It is hard to imagine Fields playing to that level against the Denver Broncos in Week 6, so expectations around his fantasy production should be muted. That said, Fields has shown the ability to put up huge production (and fantasy points) in blowout losses this season. He’s a high-end QB2 this week despite his status as a top-5 quarterback on the season.

Should I Start Bo Nix for Fantasy Football?

Bo Nix has struggled to replicate his success from his rookie season, but he has shown flashes of that high-level play. Nix is currently averaging 17.6 points per game (QB17, minimum three games played). Nix has two top-12 finishes this season, including a QB5 finish in Week 4.

Even with those struggles, Nix has proved that he can take advantage of poor matchups. The Jets have allowed quarterbacks to throw for 11 touchdowns and zero interceptions this season. They are also 31st in expected points added against quarterbacks (42.3).

Nix gets a boost this week and should be considered a high-end QB2 who can produce a QB1 week if the Broncos keep throwing. He is a fine play in both 1QB and 2QB formats.
