Yoshinobu Yamamoto Faces Live Hitters On Friday
4 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto (triceps) threw 17 pitches to live hitters during a batting practice session on Friday in his first time facing live hitters since going on the injured list back in June. Manager Dave Roberts said they cut the session short due to the heat. Yamamoto said he continues to feel good, but he'll need at least two more live sessions before going on a minor-league rehab assignment. The 25-year-old isn't going to rejoin LA's starting lineup until September most likely, but that doesn't mean fantasy managers should send him to the waiver wire. In his first 14 big-league starts in 2024 before injuring his right triceps, Yamamoto went 6-2 for the Dodgers with a strong 2.92 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and impressive 27.9% strikeout rate and 5.7% walk rate in 74 frames.
