The Minnesota Vikings selected North Carolina linebacker Chazz Surratt with the No. 78 overall pick in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft on Friday night. Surratt is a converted quarterback who has turned some heads at linebacker the last two seasons. He plays at 120 percent intensity and loves to blitz. There have been some tackling issues, but he also has the fluidity to sit back in coverage as well. His lack of instincts on the defensive ball show at times, but he'll represent interesting depth at the position for Minnesota. Head coach Mike Zimmer loves to blitz, so perhaps Surratt can excel with his aggressiveness. He'll likely back up All-Pro linebackers Eric Kendricks and Anthony Barr and could be used as a hybrid safety or edge rusher at some point.--Keith Hernandez
