Tim Anderson, Andrew Benintendi Could Be Back Tuesday
2 years agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (knee), outfielders Andrew Benintendi (elbow) and Luis Robert Jr. (hamstring) and infielder Hanser Alberto (quadriceps) could all return to the team by Tuesday. Anderson is the biggest name on this list. He has been out just under three weeks with a knee sprain, but he began a minor-league rehab assignment and is expected back early next week. Anderson's return as the regular shortstop will push Elvis Andrus back to second base and Lenyn Sosa to the bench. Benintendi is missing his second straight game on Sunday after getting hit by a pitch in the elbow on Friday. X-rays came back negative, though, and the 28-year-old is considered day-to-day. The White Sox have an off day on Monday.
