Sean Manaea Strikes Out Seven in Friday's Rehab Outing
Sean Manaea (oblique) struck out seven batters during his rehab appearance on Friday evening. In this outing, the left-hander was deployed as a bulk reliever behind right-hander Brandon Sproat. Manaea was able to log 5 1/3 innings of work. During this game, Manaea struck out seven batters while allowing just two hits and one run. He did not allow a free pass. This was a strong outing as the left-hander has spent the previous three outings of his rehab assignment with High-A. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, but it appears he will need to make at least one more appearance with Triple-A Syracuse. However, Manaea appears to have found his footing and is worth adding in all leagues before he is activated from the IL in early July.
