Rangers Planning To Start Jon Gray On Sunday
2 years agoThe Texas Rangers are planning on having right-hander Jon Gray (finger) make his next start this Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Gray was scratched from his last scheduled start on Tuesday due to a blister on his pitching hand, but manager Bruce Bochy said that Gray is doing well. Fantasy managers will be glad that the 31-year-old will be able to avoid a trip to the injured list. It's not the first time Gray has dealt with the blister this year, and the last time it was an issue, he tossed a complete game in his next start, which means he should be started with confidence this weekend. Gray has been great for Texas and fantasy managers alike this year, posting a 2.32 ERA (4.17 FIP), 0.96 WHIP, 20 walks and 63 strikeouts in 73 2/3 innings over 12 starts in his second year with the team.
