Raisel Iglesias May Need A Few More Weeks
Raisel Iglesias (shoulder) said his shoulder is feeling much better, but because he was shut down since the final week of spring training, he may need a couple of weeks once he is cleared to begin throwing off of a mound again. Iglesias has thrown off flat ground several times, but he hasn't thrown a bullpen session yet and doesn't appear to be close to making his 2023 debut for the Braves as their primary closer. The 33-year-old right-hander was initially diagnosed with low-grade right shoulder inflammation. With Iglesias sidelined, left-hander A.J. Minter has taken over the team's primary closing duties early in the season. Iglesias is worth stashing in an injured list spot until he's back.
