Raheem Mostert's Season Likely Over
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert's (ankle) season is likely over after he suffered another high-ankle sprain in the Week 15 loss to the Cowboys, according to a source. Mostert ran the ball 14 times for 68 yards against Dallas but was unable to find the end zone. Jeff Wilson Jr. totaled 60 yards and a touchdown and will have considerably more fantasy upside with Mostert out of the picture over the final two regular season games. Mostert was on Injured Reserve earlier this year due to a high-ankle sprain, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect to have him the rest of the way. Wilson will be a strong RB2 choice against Arizona on Saturday, while Tevin Coleman and Jerick McKinnon will fight for touches behind him. Add Wilson immediately if he still happens to be on the waiver wire in your league. Update: Mostert will be placed on Injured Reserve and will finish the 2020 season with 677 total yards and three touchdowns on 120 touches over eight games played.
